I apologize to everyone I told that Sun made the /bin -> /usr/bin migration in Solaris 2.0 in 1992. While /bin is a symlink to /usr/bin in that release (and every following Solaris release), I just found that SunOS 4.0 documents the change happened in that release in 1988.

Last night @bcantrill and I celebrated the 20th (!) anniversary of DTrace by walking through its history. Thanks to everyone who's used DTrace, ported it to various platforms, filed bugs, filed CVEs, added features, fixed bugs, shown up to dtrace.conf... https://t.co/lx7icdKrqk
Born on this day in 1941, Dennis M. Ritchie received the 1983 #ACMTuringAward with Ken Thompson, for their development of generic operating systems theory and specifically for the implementation of the UNIX operating system. https://t.co/TLPQKwl35I
