Her handprints literally guide the way, and the entire first game is about the journey to spread her ashes. The Christian God is never mentioned or hinted at in GOW.

Her foresight puts them on the path that leads them to Ragnarok. Without her foresight, Kratos never leaves the woods, without her, the entire Norse saga doesn't happen.

Her foresight allowed her to create the frameworks of the path that Kratos and Atreus follow from the moment you hit start game in GOW 2018, to the end of GOWR. She is the reason the journey begins in the first place.
