@USCIS Can you please be a little more reasonable and empathetic towards the students rotting in the backlog. November first week applicants are waiting while you are approving February applications. How broken is your system?
#optdelay
@Sundar_24295 @USCIS@DHSgov@SecMayorkas@CNN@CNBC@VP This is an absolute lack of organization and continuation of a broken system by USCIS. Students from Nov 4 are waiting for nearly 5 months for opt approval and they see their friends getting approval after applying in late January and February. @USCIS
Plz do the right thing.
@USCIS#OPTDelay has caused so much for so many people. I cannot tell you how much emotional trauma it caused me personally. Take actions and ensure EVERYONE is processed within 90 days.
@USCIS How can you ignore the request from one of the most important group contributing to the US economy! If you keep doing this OPT DELAY to intl. students, they won’t come to US for study and it will be a huge loss! #JUSTICE4OPT#optdelay@SecMayorkas@VP@POTUS@POTUS44
@USCIS@DHSgov People sacrificed so much in order to study in the US. And now it is taking 4/5 month for OPT to be approved ? This is absolutely outrageous #OPTDelay
@USCIS Please approve the backlogged OPT cases. It is unreasonable and unfair when you allow filing application 90 days early and take 4.5 months to process applications. Please follow the rule you yourself set for this. #optDelay
@USCIS@secmayorkas@OversightDems would you please help to address the #OPTDelay? Students have been waiting for 4 months (5 months for some) and their OPT are still spending. Our life are turned upside down due to the delay.
@PramilaJayapal Delay in the processing of F1 EAD @USCIS has been causing us international students extreme financial & emotional stress, and also causing productivity gaps at US companies during this sensitive time for the economy!! @congressdotgov@TSA_Pekoske@SecMayorkas#F1OPTDElay
@USCIS Thanks for the flexibilities. But the major issue with sluggish approval is still there. At this rate, we dont see how USCIS will manage to clear the backlog. Students already suffered a lot. Please allow interim work authorization to reduce the suffering.
#optdelay
@ACEducation@Mishuk_ku Thanks for understanding.
Why is is so difficult for @USCIS to understand this? They list up to 8 months as processing time. This is illogical and beyond any common sense. Law abiding students are paying for the mistakes USCIS made. Please allow conditional work authorization.
