@RoaringHammy I've been a member for over 25 years, currently the savings on gas alone more than pays for my membership. The often have the best quality center cut tenderloin I can find. Great values on wine. I shop there weekly, and supplement with whole foods monthly.
So many, even expensive restaurants are simply serving food service company prepared foods.
I avoid chain or "equity investment" restaurants, I look for a chef owned with a scratch kitchen (no or very limited food service prepared ingredients)
Such restaurants can be found, but it takes effort, and they will likely have a wait-list for reservations.
I've also had good results at four seasons resort restaurants.
@fatherofwaters_@NolteNC Noone NEEDS to go to Wrigley Field. But everyone needs to eat.
Many Prices are high because people are willing to over pay If people refused to over pay, prices would come down.
Kevin O’Leary says people in credit card debt shouldn’t be buying coffee
“If you have a credit card balance that goes into the next month and you’re spending $5 on a coffee, you’re crazy”
“I’ll give you permission to buy a coffee for $5 if you have no balance on your credit card at the end of the month”
“The reason I own all the credit card companies is people are paying 23% interest”
“Why would you do that to yourself? I can’t make 23% in the market every year. Why would you let someone do that to you?”
“So no, no coffees for you except the one you make at home for 19 cents unless you pay off your credit card”
@collin_ruth89 Gas provides instant temperature control, no so with electric. A bit better with electric induction though.
No electromagnetic radiation with gas 😉
@camundahl@OCpatriot_ 30 cents on the dollar is a 30% profit margin. Plus the markup on the unit (often around 50%?)
That's a pretty nice profit for a service business. Especially since owners wages are typically included in overhead costs.
@lucythegreat123 I recently flew on allegiant, they charge for a carry on bag, but they say they guarantee space in the overhead if one pre reserved and paid for the carry on.
Not that I recommend allegiant! The only reason I chose it was a short direct flight. All other options had a layover.
