Life long fan, (I have giants hats older than many of you) was there for the the first splash hit. Tough, fair, always try to be optimistic. Go Giants.
@SplashHitPod@FightinHydrant 100%…Indont understand theses” Giants Fans” who have no patience, it’s like they have no soul, it’s only good baseball if they are spend like dodgers. Everyone wants to win….Try loving the game, it’s not just W’s.
@BenKaspick@TJStats Absolutely it’s slander….he hasn’t been serviceable, he has been a good 2B. I can only think of 1 ball that maybe Koss gets that Luis didn’t…and his batt has been as advertised. If you’re a Giants fan you have to be pleased at this point with the Luis signing.
@FoulTerritoryTV@JimBowdenGM Jim Bowden former GM currently unwanted asshat, bitter for not even being considered for FO jobs, makes a take attempting to cling onto his relevance.
Can someone tell Smoltz to just stop talking! He doesn’t have to talk the entire game…specially when it’s just nonsense. The color guy is supposed to add to the game, not make listeners mute the TV.
@BaseballJeff1 I agree…I was there, and for all the bells and whistles it still seemed flat. Maybe it’s was just too much of a distraction…hard to put my finger on it but it was odd.
@PavlovicNBCS This feels like the most likely play maybe even before spring, but certainly with how spring played out. I was surprised JO still has 2 options…have to assume BP’s been on phone shopping with no takers. Speaks volumes.
@GiantHotTakes Yeah…I will say, I’ve got to see Jerar in Spring last couple yrs…and no doubt when he hits the ball it’s sounds different then anyone on the team(maybe Devers too).IF, he is healthy he is unique bat on this team from the right side. What a world if both hitting &on this roster?
@BaseballJeff1 My take:Susac, Schmidt, Jerar, Oliva, Matos is how we start opening day…IMO Brennan is a better fit than Matos, but you nailed it, his options hurt him. I think we start here and BP works the phonelooking for anyone willing to trade any of them (less Susac) for a solid reliever.
@Beach2Ballpark@GiantHotTakes I’m not sure you count a Giants career in 70 game over 2 1/2 yrs. The point is, we currently have no one on the bench who is even a threat in that situation, JE is a threat.
@Tralfraz@PavlovicNBCS No one thinks the giants are trading Devers for Eldridge to take his spot…that’s not even a thought…IF Eldridge made the 26, he’d been a DH, no need for trade. Buster Posey was a May call up in 2010…I was asking if the same delayed call up benefits to the team still existed.
@GiantHotTakes Watching Brennan makes this an easier decision IMO…he has much of the contact of Matos, but is a better looking defender. JE, is unique. I don’t think we have anyone like him on the roster from Right side. JE /Brennan for outfield and Schmidt Koss for infield. Bryce up in May.
@Lex_Jurgen@Calvnhob@BaseballJeff1 Yea…I agree, Brennan also has options…but he did sign a MLB deal…I don’t think Matos has a shot…honestly he and Brennan have similar profiles, but Brennan is better hitter and defender. JE is the curveball. He is unlike any other Giant other than Devers.
@Calvnhob@Lex_Jurgen@BaseballJeff1 1 backup catcher…2 backup infielders…2 backup outfielders, Susac at catch…CS, Koss infielders ….Brennan and either Encarnation, Gilbert, Matos. I’d be surprised if anyone else in running. Gilbert has options.
