With this remarkable performance, she became the first non-Ladakhi woman in all 13 editions of the Khardung La Challenge to break the 9-hour barrier.
At extreme altitude, every kilometre demands immense physical and mental strength. A remarkable feat of endurance. Another milestone etched in the history of one of India’s toughest ultra challenges.

“Some stories should not be scrolled past. This is one of them.
Col Anurag Upadhyay scored in the 99th percentile in CAT. He could have chosen a corporate career. He chose the Indian Army instead.
He volunteered for the Special Forces, completed probation with 3 PARA (SF), and joined the raising team of 12 PARA (SF). Even after a heart attack in 2008, he returned to active duty.
In August 2025, he suffered a severe posterior circulation stroke. Today, he has Locked-in Syndrome. His body has been severely affected. His mind has not.
He is conscious and aware. He remembers. He thinks. Through eye movements and alphabet-based scanning, he communicates his thoughts. Further complications resulted in bilateral below-knee amputations.
This post is not asking for sympathy. It is asking for possibility.
His family knows what the medical literature says. They are not asking for promises. They believe no credible possibility should remain unexplored because the right expert was outside their network.
They seek connections to:
• Neurologists and neuro-rehabilitation specialists experienced in Locked-in Syndrome
• Rehabilitation centres focused on neurological recovery
• Researchers exploring recovery of movement, speech or other functions
• Research and emerging technologies, including brain-computer interfaces
• Eye-tracking and assistive technology that could give Anurag a more independent voice
• Veteran organisations or individuals who can open the right doors
Someone reading this may know a doctor who has treated a similar patient, a rehabilitation team that has seen a different outcome, a relevant researcher—or someone who can make the right introduction.
His prognosis should be determined by medicine and how his body responds—not by a lack of information, access or connections.
Please make a connection if you can. DM “Tales Of A Gypsy” on Instagram. If you cannot, share this until it reaches someone who can.
No sympathy. Just one question: What more is possible for Col Anurag ?
Let us help him find out”

Prayers 🙌For You- Brother Anurag ❤️
At just 17, Madhura Kar showed the world what an elite mental comeback looks like at the IPF World Championships.
When the pressure was at its peak, she wiped her tears, locked in, and lifted a massive 292.5 KG total to bring home 4 GOLD MEDALS for India!
MADHURA KAR IS AN ABSOLUTE QUEEN 🇮🇳✨️🙏
@NBDwrites@sanjaymehta Ma'am, I received a scam today itself and I dialled 1930 after that. Having reported the incident, I got a call back from the dept who told me to put this on Chakshu portal. It took me merely 5 mins to lodge a report on the scammer's number and the incident.
Bittu Tabahi, a young boy took it upon himself to clean the Ajnar River in Biaora, Madhya Pradesh — putting his own money, time and effort into a cause most people would have simply walked past, not just that, he also got sick Multiple times.
And the most powerful part? He didn’t just talk about change. He actually made it happen.
In a time when saving the environment is often reduced to hashtags and speeches, Bittu’s story is a reminder that real change can begin with just one person who refuses to look away.
Sometimes, a hero isn’t the one with the biggest platform — it’s the one who gets his hands dirty.
Two and half decade ago, a young & dynamic MAJOR was one of the hand picked officers from Indian Army chosen to raise the 25th Battalion of The Rashtriya Rifles at district Doda in the erstwhile J&K state.
Major Sanjay Baduni hailing from Dehradun married for 5 years, was father of two beautiful little daughters. Those days of pre-mobile era and a very rare telephone connectivity, whenever Major Sanjay Baduni used to get time from his hectic anti-insurgency operations he would pen down something and keep it in his briefcase.
On 24 August in 1995, Major Sanjay received information of the presence of few terrorists at Dhara village of district Doda in J&K. Accordingly Major Baduni launched a search & destroy operation. On reaching village, Major Sanjay found that terrorist were hiding in a house where two children were also trapped. Major Baduni decided against to blow up the house and challenged the terrorists in a direct close combat gun fight.
In the ongoing fire fight Major Baduni received two bullets and later succumbed to injures. On that day to save my fellow children, in my home district MAJOR SANJAY BADUNI immortalized himself and left behind his own two small daughters, elder one aged 3 and a half years and younger of just 18 months.
Months later when Ms Kamal , his wife opened his brief case, she found a poem written by Major Sanjay for this two daughters, which says
“ My dearest Daughters
When You were born
And opened your eyes
To look at me
My World turned to be
All smile and laughters .... “
It may have taken just 25 minutes for Major Sanjay Baduni to draft these lines but it took 25 year for his wife Kamal to share the poem with his daughters.
SNUGGY & KANNU are grown up daughters now. They missed their father being around them because their father choose to protect unkown children on this day, 25 year ago.
For you all sharing the poem written by a Fauji Papa from battle field for his daughters.
Join me in paying homage to
MAJOR SANJAY BADUNI

22 YEAR OLD CREATES HISTORY FOR INDIAN AEROBIC GYMNASTICS! 🤯🔥
Manipur’s Ariha Pangambam becomes the first-ever Indian to win Gold in the Senior Women’s Individual event at the Asian Aerobic Gymnastics Championships 🏅
WOOOAH, WELL DONE GIRL!!!! 🇮🇳❤️
Take a little time off to applaud a great 74 shots rally & a fantastic win by PV Sindhu at the Japan Open 🏸
PV Sindhu becomes first Indian to win the Japan Open title...
In football, can you imagine India beating Brazil in the final by 2-1 and win the Gothia cup in Sweden 😳 and that too after defeating England 12-0 and France by 17-1 🤔 ?
Proud that most players were from Manipur.
Yes! This actually happened 👆🇮🇳🏆
That's India's U-15 team from Minerva Academy / Ranjit Bajaj's squad making history at the Gothia Cup 2026 in Sweden - the world's biggest youth football tournament.
What they pulled off:
1. Beat England 12-0
2. Beat France 17-1
3. Won Helsing Cup in Europe a week earlier
4. Final: Beat Brazil 2-1 to win the Gothia Cup.
They won 8 matches straight and scored 86 goals in the whole tournament. "European Double" complete - Helsing Cup + Gothia Cup back to back 😳
The clips show:
- Kids in orange India jerseys celebrating goals
- The goalkeeper screaming "BACK TO BACK CHAMPIONS"
- Fans waving tricolor in the stands
- Team lifting the Gothia Cup trophy with "GOTHIA CUP FINALS" board behind
- Ranjit Bajaj with tricolor draped, holding medal
This is huge because in a country where cricket gets all the money and football still struggles for support, these kids proved talent isn't the problem - opportunity is.
Absolutely viral-worthy moment for Indian football ✌️
Heartbroken & so inspired 💔💔🙏🏽
The Commonwealth Games is becoming a daily roll-call of young Indians who have emerged from unimaginable hardship & horrors to win gold.
Look at 23-year-old judoka Asmita Dey, who is now the first Indian to win Commonwealth Games gold in the women’s 48kg category.
7 months ago, she lost her father to a brain stroke. A bicycle mechanic who earned barely ₹300 a day, he raised his family in a mud house in a small village in Tripura. When a knee injury threatened Asmita’s career, he found the money to take her to Delhi for treatment.
Even as the family mourned, Asmita’s mother urged her daughter to return to training, believing that abandoning the dream would betray everything her father had sacrificed for.
She now stands on top of the Commonwealth Games podium with a gold medal around her neck.
