@PipPip75752332@AndrewGold_ok@Sargon_of_Akkad Might be a terminology disagreement. Strictly speaking, indigenous in anthropological terms means the first inhabitants of an area. That's not to discount your point, it's just not accurate to say the Anglo Saxons were indigenous to Britain.
@PipPip75752332@AndrewGold_ok@Sargon_of_Akkad Problem is you'd be excluding most English people who are descended from Anglo Saxons, who are not indigenous to Britain having colonised from mainland Europe.
@Underc0verChris@AndrewGold_ok@Sargon_of_Akkad I don't necessarily disagree, but in practice, how do you know if someone is ethnically English? Being visibly white doesn't count as it includes various ethnicities. And does someone need to have a single Anglo Saxon or Celtic ancestor, to be ethnically English?
@Peterke60189728@BillboardChris@Glinner A court order has banned him from entering the school premises. Regardless of whether you agree with that decision or not, he is trespassing under the law while his suspension is in place.

@BillboardChris@Glinner Thanks for calling this out and being objective. Misrepresenting events to fit an agenda is exactly what the extremist TRAs do, and adopting their tactics undermines those who have reasonable objections against gender ideology.
@grafinoz@juliamacfarlane@MartinSLewis@edballs How was it sexist? This type of questioning is common towards politicians regardless of the sex of the person criticising and receiving the criticism. Assuming bad intent because they are male is sexist, however.
@svegfinne@JohnCleese It's the presence of the SRY gene, typically found on the Y chromosome, which determines sex, not the Y chromosome itself. True intersex conditions occur at about 0.02% in the population, and those caused by chromosomal abnormalities are even rarer.
@GenXPhilosopher@Oceanbreeze473 This looks like Penicillium judging by the colour. Rhizopus is another common bread fungus, but it has a black appearance.
@gilescoren You're more likely to be killed by a civilian than an ICE worker. It's a bit like saying you'll never fly after hearing about a plane crash on the news. The chances of a UK citizen being killed by ICE is vanishingly small. Perfect example of saliency bias.
@KaskaJessica You're diluting the meaning of the word 'bigot' by labeling women who want female only spaces as 'bigots'. Now when people hear actual transphobes labelled as bigots, they don't take it seriously as the word has lost meaning. Do you think this helps trans people?
@beastley73418@HennieInglis@RoisinMichaux Survey data and data from gender clinics. I've never seen a single 'trans association' claim that most trans women are fetishists, can you give a source for that? There's no reliable data on how many trans people are autogynophiles.
@HennieInglis@RoisinMichaux Studies show the majority are actually feminine gay men. The autogynophiles tend to be the most visible, and often the most vocal of the activists, but they're actually a minority. It's saliency bias.
@GhostSal21@Sargon_of_Akkad Surely the Celts are more ethnically English than a small group of recent (in anthropological terms) German and Danish settlers? The Barometer for being English can't be how closely related you are to a small group of Germans and Danes.
@kymfeltus @aroussi@SwipeWright I believe the point being made is simply that baseline skin colour is determined by genes. The appearance of white (light) skin and black (dark) skin is genetically determined but this doesn't mean race exists in a biological sense.
@KirstiMiller30 Teenage trans communities like on Reddit are like pro anorexia communities. They all feed into each others harmful delusions. They need kind people to tell them that there is no right or wrong way to be a boy or girl, and to accept themselves.
@GyllKing Google AI is not a reliable source since it draws information from various verified and unverified sources including Wikipedia and Reddit. You'd be taken more seriously if you cited a systematic review.
@Missmbl2812 A male can not go through female puberty and vice versa, it's biologically not possible. Cross sex hormones can lead to secondary sex characteristics of the opposite sex such as more facial hair or development of breasts, but they will not develop the gametes of the opposite sex.
@p87737d64g6@michaelderyck@ThomasWillett9 You're repeating a trans activist talking point which is false. The most recent studies from the pioneering Dutch gender clinic used the most up to date diagnostic criteria and showed the same outcome as the earlier studies.
@p87737d64g6@michaelderyck@ThomasWillett9 It's possible, but studies show that the majority of children with gender dysphoria are resolved of it as they go through puberty when they're not medicalised.
