A borderless platform where your streams become ownership. Every play sends micro-payments directly to the artists you listen to, no giant pools, no middlemen.
Nairobi is where Orbit started.
The first chapter. The first channel. The blueprint for everything that follows.
On 22 Aug we held our first Orbit Creators Night in Nairobi. Now the Kenyan Creators channel is live 👇

@Issybeatz_ Love the Afrohouse bounce on this, the production is incredibly clean 🔥
Sucks that standard apps force independent acts to chase a million streams just to buy a sandwich. 312 fans buying an edition directly actually equals the revenue of 1M+ streams. Keep dropping heaters!
@Akademiks Looking at these fractions of a cent is wild. It basically forces independent artists to chase millions of passive streams just to survive.
The math only changes when a few hundred loyal fans can buy or stream to own digital editions directly.
@alwaysneverhere@Akademiks It is that bad though. Fractions of a cent per play means independent creators are basically running on a treadmill. The math only fixes itself when we move away from those tiny stream payouts and let fans actually buy ownable digital editions directly from the source.
@NajiChill Completely right. Making a living shouldn't require millions of passive plays. If 5,000 fans just buy an EP or stream it until they own the digital edition, the artist makes real money instantly. The industry taught us to rent music when we should be building ownership.
@didjesusdrop Changing the owners won't fix a broken model. As long as fan subscriptions go into one giant pool, superstars eat first and indie acts get pennies. The math only changes when we move to direct-line, user-centric payments from fan to artist.
@nappytheplug The math literally doesn't work. Flat-rate subscriptions teach people to rent culture forever. If a fan's $11 monthly fee gets pooled and handed to global pop stars they don't even listen to, the local indie act loses every time. Direct user-centric streams are the only logic fix
@pastelETH Spot on. Treating streaming platforms as a giant billboard instead of a storefront changes everything. Use the big apps for reach, but keep the actual ownership value on an independent channel where fans can buy or stream-to-own digital editions directly.
@BiggSluggathor Truth. The whole industry model is built on renting culture. You rent access to your library, artists rent their audience from the algorithm, and middlemen take the cut. The day we switch from renting attention to actual digital ownership, the middlemen lose all their leverage.
@CurtissKing It’s exhausting watching artists chase mastery just to get paid fractions of a cent. Big platforms turned music into background noise. We’re building platform so artists can sell ownable digital tracks directly to fans. True mastery deserves actual sales, not cheap streams.
@Osi_Suave This is why global streaming is broken. Depending on where your fans live, a million streams might only buy you a sandwich. We're building Orbit to fix this. If a fan plays your track, your money goes straight to you. No giant pools, no country discounts.
@aidan7501 The music economy is broken when artists have to ship 14 vinyl variants just to get a 'pure sale.'
Standard apps force you to rent access forever. We built Orbit to bring back pure sales via Stream-to-Own. You play a track, and your streams build equity until you own it. 🛰️
@Issybeatz_ "empowering artists" by splitting $0.003 further is genuinely one of the most dystopian PR moves in music history. The whole model is broken. The only model that makes sense is where fans directly support artists, own what they buy, artist gets paid instantly, no black box math.
Aha moment for the Agentic Internet! 🤯
An AI agent waiting on a task used our MCP tool to browse and play Tainted Love by Roubix. 🎵
Because Orbit has on-chain rails, the AI autonomously paid the artist with zero friction.
Watch the proof below!
Code: mcp-demo
The End of the Checkout: Why Claude bought me a song. 🤯
Next time you’re waiting for an AI agent to finish a heavy coding task, look at the silence => Then look at Orbit.
We keep talking about "AI Agents" as assistants that help us buy things:
"Fill in the form."
"Confirm the order."
"Do you want to proceed?"
That’s just automation with extra steps. The human is still the bottleneck.
The "Aha" Moment 💡
A few days ago, I was playing around with #MCP. I connected Orbit Channel, the media platform we’ve been building where every stream triggers an on-chain royalty payment, to a local server as a test. I wanted to see if Claude could even "see" the music library.
I gave Claude a long-running refactor task and stepped away. At some point, the agent reasoned that since I was stuck waiting, it could play some music for me.
So it did.
It didn't ask for a credit card. It didn't trigger a "Confirm Purchase" popup. It realized it had the tool, it saw the utility, and it executed. The agent conducted a financial transaction completely as a side effect of being a good assistant.
🟢 A human artist got paid because an AI decided to play a song.
Seeing an agent exercise true economic agency changed how I thought about Orbit, and its primary technical setup.
In the "Human Internet," we have carts and checkouts because banks need to verify a human identity. In the "Agentic Internet," those are just friction. We need Commerce Primitives that agents can use natively: programmable, permissionless, and on-chain.
I’ve now pushed that MCP integration to production. Orbit is no longer just for humans. It’s built for agents to license content and pay artists directly, 24/7, without a human in the loop for every micro-transaction.
🚀 Use the coupon code "mcp-demo" on Orbit to unlock 10 Credits ;)
Watch the attached video to see the full proof: the MCP integration, the agent’s internal reasoning, and the transaction hitting the chain. No cuts.
How are you leveraging MCP to give your agents true operational autonomy? Let's discuss.
