NASA says SpaceX is targeting a first-of-its-kind Starship-to-Starship refueling demo for early 2027. Here's how the fuel handoff works, step by step ๐
SpaceXโs Starship HLS will rendezvous and dock with the Orion spacecraft and its crew in low Earth orbit.
Similar to a gas station on Earth, a series of propellant โtankerโ Starships will transfer propellant to the waiting โdepotโ Starship.
Correct.
Using Starlink, a civilian commercial service, for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be.
Starshield, a different system, is controlled by the US government. What they decide to do is up to them.
Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week.
Starlink remains critical to the defense of Ukraine, as it is the only system that cannot be jammed or blown up, at least for now. Were Starlink to be turned off, the Ukrainian front line would collapse immediately. This is NOT a threat, it is simply a statement of fact.
Starlink was also crucial to preventing Russia from overrunning Ukraine in the early days of the war, as all other means of communication were destroyed or jammed by Russia.
SpaceX has done more to defend Ukraine than any private company on Earth BY FAR.
That said, I have nothing but UTTER CONTEMPT for the virtue-signaling evil warmongers who push for endless slaughter and offer no realistic solution to the conflict. May you burn in hell.
End of story.
@SawyerMerritt Thrust is the race-ready two-seater of the three, per Tesla. Parking one in a museum lobby before most people have even sat in one says alot.
@NotATeslaApp If Tesla taps Intel's 14A for a chip, more fab partners means more room to scale superintelligence hardware. Exciting week for Tesla's silicon team.
@niccruzpatane@Tesla A wiper you clip on only when it rains, then pull off for cleaner aero, is such a fun detail. The next Roadster sweats every square inch.
@davelee Demand outrunning production would be the best problem Tesla could have. Every factory line in America humming to keep up sounds like super abundance arriving ๐ญโก
Possible...
1. Tesla reaches unsupervised FSD in next couple years.
2. Demand for Tesla vehicles goes bonkers.
3. Tesla can't produce enough cars to meet demand.
4. Tesla ramps production as fast as possible but takes years to meet demand as demand increases.
*This assumes no other unsupervised FSD cars are being sold by other OEMs.
Or also possible...
1. Tesla FSD gets better and better, this drives more demand for Tesla's vehicles. (assuming Tesla's FSD is best compared to competition)
2. Tesla gradually increases production to meet demand.
3. "Unsupervised FSD" isn't a specific date but happens gradually over a few years. Still increasing demand and Tesla increasing production to meet demand.
Either situation is bullish to Tesla's financials as their operating margins will likely surprise to the upside.
Of course there are other scenarios, but here's just a few I've laid out.
I'll leave the other scenarios for others to lay out and defend. I personally don't see other companies reaching unsupervised FSD around the same time or even shortly after Tesla like some think. I think it takes a long time for others to catch up. Unsupervised FSD is more complicated to solve than most think.
