Today I did a refurb on this Halo Reach Xbox 360. I decided to do an RGH3 using BadUpdate and it was simple as pie! It also got an XLume RGB led mod that I picked up from @WeekendModder . I loaded up a 2tb hdd and tossed that in too! The original motherboard needed a reball, so I put a good Trinity in it, flashed the Halo Reach sounds with a Raspberry Pi Pico to the IC and it’s good as new!

@VHS_Jess They are great! One tantalizer replaces 2 Tokin capacitors. I’ve had great success with using them.

PS3 refurbing. Delidded the cpu and gpu to replace the thermal paste with MX-4 and got rid of those shitty NEC Tokin capacitors that are only rated for 1000 hours 🙄. I replaced them with Tantalacer boards that I built with high quality, low esr tantalum capacitors. F U YLOD!

Saved another GameCube from the trash. Recapped the optical drive board and it worked like new. I’ve rarely come across GameCubes that have bad lasers, so I’d recommend replacing the capacitors and adjusting the laser pot first! Oh and I tossed in a XenoGC for good measure too 😉
