@effonecasualfan Yes but it's a very long season, there's likely 18 races left as one of the cancelled races will likely be held once things calm down in the middle east.
@brakeboosted So Lewis didn't switch away from the Brembo discs because they're inherently bad. He changed them due to personal preference. If Charles has been running the same brakes since the start of the season, the question is why they suddenly became a problem since Montreal?
@Deb_orah14@CL16_inside@Auto_Racer_it Yeah, but it's not a guaranteed fix. Keep in mind he's switching to brake discs he hasn't used before, and they're probably configured for a driver with a very different braking style. Leclerc has said in the past that Lewis is one of the most aggressive brakers he's ever seen.
@CL16_inside It's not an optimal situation for Charles, those new brake discs could suit him immediately but it could also take him time to get used to it.
@Deb_orah14@CL16_inside@Auto_Racer_it How does that impact anything. Charles brakes are still the same he had from the start of the season, Lewis changed to new ones, it's a personal preference choice.
@effonecasualfan Antonelli and Hamilton both have it a bit more relaxed in their own ways. With Antonelli lacking experience, the pressure is on George. For Hamilton, it's Leclerc's home track and his best for one-lap pace, so nobody expects him to beat Charles, he can just throw everything at it
@effonecasualfan@utd_99_ Lewis was maybe a tiny bit quicker in Australia. If I recall he came out 6 seconds behind after the pitstops and was within a second by the final lap, some of that probably down to CL managing his pace but I don't think you let your teammate get that close.
@effonecasualfan Will be Interesting to see how Lewis handles Monaco. He kinda had a tough time there during the wide car era from 2017 to 2025, he was pretty decent there before that. Curious to see how he gets on with smaller cars.
