Ukraine is building a new school meals system. Today, the Ministry of Veterans Affairs launches a competition to help veterans start businesses in this field. When veterans help feed children in their communities - everyone wins.

🌍 🍎 Today the world marks International School Meals Day. School meals are more than lunch - they are an investment in children’s health, equality and the future of a country. In Ukraine, 2M children receive free meals, 10,000 cooks trained, 1,650 school kitchens modernized.

Ukraine is reforming school meals in wartime - just as Finland once did.
Modern kitchens, balanced menus, safe meals: both countries share the same vision - a healthy generation and a strong nation. Cooperation with Finland is key to making it happen.

At the #SchoolMealsCoalition Summit in Brazil, we met with the Finnish delegation led by Minister Ville Tavio. Finland’s school meals reform began during the war in the 1940s - proof that even in the hardest times, change is possible. 🇫🇮🤝🇺🇦

📚 By 2030 every child should get at least one full meal at school.
🌍 At the 2nd Global School Meals Coalition Summit in Brazil we heard: 466M children now benefit (+80M since 2020).
🇺🇦 Ukraine: from 500k in 2020 to 1.8M in 2025.
School meals = survival & future.
