I had to Unfollow all of the foreign accounts I was interested in.
X almost entirely stopped translating them so my feed was completely unreadable to me.
@elonmusk@wholemars AC is the second best invention man has ever made. First is electricity, but only because it’s required for AC to work.
I installed solar this year and now the sun that is overheating me is also cooling me back down. There seems to be a poetic justice in it.
@MensHumor I love that half the comments are people saying it’s perfectly reasonable to leave a strip, and the other half are people saying nobody should ever do this!
@newkingej@BigGimpin421@danielcronauer Not horrible. But still above $.30 a watt. I purchased ones from a decent manufacturer with warranty at $.27 a watt… and then there was a holiday sale two weeks later where I could’ve gotten panels for $.19 a watt. I was a bit bummed about that.
I just got solar power for the first time this summer. If you wait to buy the panels/equipment on sale and then install it yourself the payback period can be pretty quick.
But in general, I agree with you. It doesn’t make financial sense.
What I love is that if the power goes out, I have an amazing backup solar system that will run everything.
Although you should’ve seen my expression when I found out that most grid tied solar systems will stop working when the power goes out!
@JackaRaney The number of people genuinely interested in hearing an opinion outside of their own is unfortunately small.
And if only there weren’t so many bots.
