The most basic principle of the founding of this nation, that to be revered above all others, is that “the people”, the whole of “ the people”, shall determine the course of the nation. The Republic was never designed to have a limited few, those selected from a political class, a de facto aristocracy, where individuals enrich themselves and their progeny at the public trough, at the expense of their constituency, make decisions for their own benefit, or that of their party, or their ideology, and subvert the general welfare of “the people”. or supplant the will of the those they were entrusted to serve.
@_InfoGram_ A declining state is one that has settled into acceptance. What I see from this administration is anything but acceptance of the status quo. It’s funny how people project.
@krassenstein You realize how unintelligent that statement sounds, do you not? Votes cast in dead persons names is what he is referring to. I bet your 7-year-old could have figured that out too.
@FarmGirlCarrie@TrumpGirlLove It would only happen once. I don’t need to eat out that badly. And there are still a number of restaurants that do know what “service” actually is.
@EdKrassen Promoting illegal immigration to inflate census numbers was ok? But, actually adhering to legal process is out of bounds? These are truly strange times.
So, the years from 2021-2025, where COVID ravaged the economy, were under the Biden Administration. From March 2020 through January 2021 the entire world struggled to get a handle on the biological weapon released on us all. Regardless of your vaccination views, it was the Trump administrations work that brought about the vaccines that are still currently being recommended.
That being said, Dems had four years to correct the issues you speak of. Yet here we are. Nobody believes this situation evolved from nothing over fifteen months. Blame the next guy is not a viable strategy.
If politicians were held accountable for their own failures, perhaps the good of the nation would again be the focus of our elected; rather than the pursuit of money and power based upon party lines, with The People paying the price for ineptitude and greed.
Democrats have blamed Trump for everything that has gone wrong for almost ten years now. Not that I agree with the tactic. But, it goes both ways. The problem is everyone is employing Alinski’s principle that once you have decided on a course of action, any opposition to that course can have no validity. Therefore you cannot give credit where credit is due. That creates a false narrative that becomes your rallying cry. Once you embrace the lie there is no going back lest you be exposed for what you are. Welcome to American politics.
Yet somehow they kept enriching uranium well beyond any legitimate civilian use. Just you saying it doesn’t make it true. When words and actions conflict, trust actions. The actions of the Iranian regime tell a different story. The words of the Iranian regime mean nothing in that light.
@EdKrassen It’s $3.62 here in Texas. It’s not ideal. But, sometimes doing the right thing has a price. The $3.13 you speak of was after November 6, as I recall. Might be because there was light at the end of the $7 tunnel Biden led us into.
Caring for our historical national artifacts is not idle vanity. It’s called nationalism. Pride in your nation is not a bad thing. Loving your nation is not wrong.
Obama’s goal was fundamental change. That is not the goal of someone who loves or has pride in their nation. The guy attended a church where the pastor used profanity to denigrate our nation.
We gave for too long been allowing our children to be taught radicalism by the barbarians amongst us. Teach your kids to love their nation, and our neighbors. We do have more in common than that which separates us.
We can disagree and not be this fractured. It just takes a little pride and respect.
So……. it’s looked like this for a few years, right? This isn’t new. This isn’t Trump. This is a complete failure of our mental health and social benefits system. I wonder how much of a dent those billions lost in Minnesota would have made? It’s not solely Minnesota. But that is symptomatic of our larger problem.
Even if you do not like “America First” as a policy; you are highlighting the need to rally around Americans First. This should be a priority. If our Citizens in need were cared for we would all be better off. Then we could have meaningful conversations regarding immigration and the other hot button topics we get spun up over.
Cash is king, is it Brian?
In January 2016, the Obama administration arranged for a $1.7 billion cash transfer to Iran, which included an initial $400 million delivered on pallets via airplane.

This payment was closely linked to two major events: the implementation of the Iran Nuclear Deal (JCPOA) and the release of several American prisoners held by Tehran.
There’s more out there. But, this is the just of it.
There is a beauty and elegance to the design of our system of Government. If we adhere to the design it works for the whole of the people. Unfortunately what we see in a daily basis little represents the true design and function. If we keep adjusting it to meet the desires of any individual, special interest group or party, rather than the general welfare of the people, we will never again see the true product envisioned at our founding.
@RepRaskin You’re 5 years too late on that. That problem was corrected in November 2024 at the ballot box. Now, holding the 535 members of Congress accountable for their actions, and to their Oath? I can get behind that.
