@electricsnuff It would be nice if he was a little better in trades or in free agency. But scouting and prospect development is so frankly more important. Having multiple good young players locked up for 5-6 years on cheap contracts is just unbelievably tough to do and he's done a great job.
@goblue_mike@Charlottean28@MotorCityBanter Yes I agree that's why I don't think the Tigers bullpen is as good as their ERA says they are. That being said you need to play well in low to medium leverage games to still win games. Playing poorly in those moments loses you games outright or puts into high leverage.
@JGallagher_22 They did have 11 hits yesterday which people seemed to forget lmao. Can’t strand runners every inning if you’re not putting people on every inning lmao.
@newmedicine7@Victoria1115_ That’s fair! I get the modern context, but I just really love those specific 5 characters and their dynamic in the books. I’d just love to see that founding lineup adapted together, however they cast it.
@Victoria1115_@newmedicine7 Agreed there are like ten X-Men movies and not a single one features the original team. With so many future adaptations bound to happen, wouldn't it be nice to just start from the true beginning for once?
entire conservative grifter class that collectively bent the knee on the epstein files a year ago has now found their new hot button issue: protecting women
@JoeJohnsona3gz@electricsnuff That logic ignores basic market leverage. You don't take a package of blocked bats assuming you can seamlessly flip them for pitching later. Detroit cut out the middleman and took the controllable arm (River Ryan) directly which is exactly what they wanted.
@JoeJohnsona3gz@electricsnuff Joe this is very good analysis overall. I apologize I got you mixed up with someone else calling the trade rigged.
I still think the dodgers trade is comparable and is much closer to the tigers needs, but this was valuable insight on the brewers farm so thanks.
@AaronMcCan92094@electricsnuff Yes and the tigers rejected their counter offer of 3 positions players because that’s not what they wanted. It all sounds so simple to me.
@JoeJohnsona3gz@electricsnuff Enlighten us. What makes these the potential brewers deal so astronomically good the dodgers must be cheating for the tigers not to take it.
@deeptocenter Brewers fans don’t understand that even if you think Ryan sucks it doesn’t make him not exactly what the tigers asked for in a package verbatim.
