#lawsonnews#lawsonfm#lawsontv
Intense drama unfolded on a reality radio courtroom show as a mother and her daughter expressed outrage after a France-based man, who was reportedly the daughter’s boyfriend, failed to marry her upon arrival in Ghana despite repeatedly requesting for explicit videos from her during their relationship.
The man in question reportedly offered to compensate her with GH¢20,000, a move the mother-daughter duo made clear was not acceptable.

this is insane. i genuinely don't understand why ambitious people aren't shown this lecture before their careers start consuming their entire lives.
clayton christensen spent his career studying why successful companies collapse. in his final class, he asked students to apply the theory to themselves: if you keep allocating your time the same way, what life are you actually building?
he had already seen the answer in his own harvard mba class. everyone looked successful at the fifth reunion; by the 10th, 15th, 20th, and 25th, many were unhappy, divorced, and living far from their children.
work shows you the score immediately. close a sale, ship a product, finish a presentation, earn a promotion, get paid.
an hour with your child may produce nothing you can measure today; it may take 20 years to understand what that hour built. so the next free hour goes back to work, one rational decision at a time.
this is how people build lives they never planned: through hundreds of right decisions that lead in the wrong direction, day after day.
money, titles, and headcount are easy to count. christensen believed a life should be measured by the people who became better because you were there.
he died in 2020.
one question remains: if someone saw only where your time, energy, and attention went this year, what would they think actually mattered to you?
the full 19-minute lecture is in the video below.
Dear NIUK Moderation Team & Constitution Committee,
Good Afternoon. With due respect, none of you were voted for by the community. @SimisolaTomori has cooperated with you as much as possible to gain access back into the NIUK accounts.
Up till now, none of you have been able to confirm who tried to gain access into the NIUK online accounts in the middle of the night, an action which triggered the resignation of some members of the NEB.
And you think you have the legitimacy to do this?
The NIUK community members have not accepted the resignation of the NEB members but @Rayosweets has removed me from the WhatsApp group.
Simisola is ready to hand you everything, and I will supervise that call. But do not forget that the community is watching your next steps and the "founder" will answer for the alleged corrupt practices.
Be very careful so you are not named as co-defendants. No GDPR will protect you then.
Have a pleasant afternoon.
Toyyib Adelodun
What must you do in the next 12 months to earn $100k? List 20 things.
If the first thought in your mind is that it is not possible. Then you have a bigger problem than you think.
If rephrased, if you don't make $100k in 12 months, you will die. You will figure out something.
1. Ghana is the world's 2nd largest cocoa producer, but you can go to jail for buying fresh cocoa or the beans.
2. In fact, you won't find cocoa fruit or beans sold in virtually any markets. The delicious and highly nutritious crop is off the menu.
3. The reason is simple: everyone needs a license to buy cocoa from the govt. Only the state-owned Cocobod can export.
4. Since independence, the govt's wish has been to process more cocoa in Ghana instead of exporting raw beans. Even the colonialists thought this was necessary.
5. A British company was given a deal to process cocoa in the 1940s. Many decades later, the govt went into a joint venture with a German company to take over the plant, now renamed WAMCO.
6. In 2010, WAMCO took the govt to ICSID arbitration in London. Though it lost, the issues it raised remain chronic. IT IS HARD TO GET COCOA TO PROCESS IN GHANA!
7. WAMCO said even though the govt owned 40% of its shares and has made all manner of promises to supply beans, it constantly fails.
8. Eventually WAMCO went bankrupt in 2016. In 2019, it was revitalised amid new promises of getting cocoa. But soon, the old problems set in. At one point it was utilising just 10% of capacity.
9. There are 9 other major cocoa processors in Ghana. Together, they can consume all of Ghana's current production of about 500k tons a year.
10. For now, though, they can only process 40% of national output due to all the issues.
11. In fact, they have started to import cocoa to keep their plants running. Last year, many plants had to shut for extended periods, as the promised allocation of the light crop and grade I & II cocoa they depend on just wasn't flowing.
12. The govt itself was in hotter waters than them. Since 2020, production has slumped by 50%.
13. At any rate, the govt always needs dollars. It also likes to sell the cocoa forward in order to satisfy lenders who give it loans to finance operations. Thus, even in normal times, cocoa shortages abound.
14. This whole twisted mass can be crazy, man.
15. People that want to build a chocolate brand quickly find that getting cocoa in the world's 2nd largest producing country is a nightmare. The govt now says CMC, a state owned cocoa trader, should sell some beans to small scale traders in cedis, provided they commit to an annual volume of 50 tons.
16. Once you get the cocoa, taxes on imported ingredients can stack up to over 60%.
17. If you want to do non-gourmet chocolate, then you can buy cocoa butter & powder from processors. If you're lucky. Most processors will make losses without their free zone privilege, but that requires exporting 70%+ of output.
18. It's so wild that the only major private chocolate company decided not to put up its next factory in Ghana, but in Wisconsin, USA! It got bitten after it took a deal to supply cocoa products to ACP and couldn't deliver. It then got sued bigtime in the USA.
19. Like I said, cocoa and chocolate stuff in Ghana is the bomb, man.

uh so some random guy 20 minutes made a SOL memecoin called $MIRA to help with research fundraising and sent me half the entire supply and it's now worth like $400K and i literally don't know what to do because i certainly don't want to rug a bunch of random people
Discipline is scalable to all aspects of life. You can’t be the best in the world at anything without discipline and persistence, no matter how much talent you have. Ray Kroc’s quote comes to mind.
This movie is going to be good. The director is Catholic and consulted the Church on it, and it pulls from the Church Traditions. It also went through 73 script revisions when the average movie only has 8.
