Ruto just spent 40 minutes trying to create a false equivalence between our national values set out in the constitution and his so called “development”. Kenyans, please trust me when i tell you there is a reason the Preamble comes before Article 43. You don’t get to the “development “ clauses until and unless you have taken into account the reasons we passed this constitution in the first place. The primary objective should be to overhaul, restructure and transform the colonial state and build a merit based, equitable and just society governed by the rule of law.

In the process, we must remove and replace all merchants of impunity (who are individuals), institutions and systems that have perpetuated injustices against the people.

The struggle cannot and must not be limited to one man called Ruto. It must target ALL the people, including Ruto, who have entrenched and perpetrated injustices against Kenyans and the institutions, laws, systems and structures which have imposed them on the people for more than 60 years.
