This is beyond embarrassing.
Barca are so so so lucky they fluked Yamal being world class because they'd be absolutely f*cked without him.
Now they're acting like this again, after pulling so many dodgy 'levers' over the last 10 years. Atletico must be raging.
Atleti has truly cornered themselves. This is what happens when you let emotions and ego get the best of you & now they're blaming Barça 🙂↔️
Can't keep Alvarez, it would destabilise their sporting integrity, can't sell him to his preferred club, would look like wimps.
He never mentioned Barça for once and he has made his intention to leave public just the one time, that's how you know the disingenuous people in all of this.
Make up a scenario and then cry about the made up scenario. Pathetic.
👏🇫🇷 Christophe Dugarry: "I’m sorry, but I think Julián Alvarez and the people around him are IMBECILES.
How can you come out and publicly declare, "I want to leave the club," like that? Seriously, is he STUPID or what?!
That’s not the best way to get yourself a move.
The best thing to do is KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT.
SHUT UP, keep a low profile, and be smart about how you communicate.
And the people around you, specifically your PR people, your agent (Fernando Hidalgo), everyone advising you, what are you there for? Didn’t you see what happened with Griezmann? Don’t you know your club’s directors? Don’t you know your supporters?
What is this way of handling things? What is this way of talking?
My basic postion is that if a player wants to leave, you should let him leave. I think keeping a player who wants out ultimately creates more problems than anything else. That’s where I stand in principle.
But I also believe there has to be respect on both sides.
And once you have a player going around publicly saying, “I want to leave for Barça,” basically giving the impression that he couldn’t care less about the rest of you, then I’m sorry, but the contract is no longer being respected. Because that respect is also part of the contract. And it has to work both ways.
There are responsibilities on the player’s side and on the club’s side. But when you’re trying to reach an agreement, the first thing you DON’T do is disrespect your supporters and your club.
The way he has gone about this, coming out publicly and saying all of this—I’m sorry, but he’s completely got it wrong. And now it’s coming back to hit him right in the face.
The kid is going to have to work his socks off now. He’s put a massive weight around his own ankle, and it’s going to be difficult to turn the situation around.
I do think he has the potential, the talent, and everything else he needs to reverse all of this.
But what an enormous mistake it was to go public like that, saying, "Barça is my dream, Barça is this, Barça is that."
Even if it’s true, KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT!
That’s what I have to say about the STUPIDITY of this player’s camp."

Omg Just sell the player and move on it is not that deep 🤦🏽♂️
Put a gun to Alvarez and force him to sign for Arsenal if that'll satiate your massive ego.
These paper tiger clubs man 🙂↔️
💣🚨 BREAKING: Atlético Madrid are going all out against Barça to defend their interests in the Julián Álvarez case.
They are taking things a step further: they are adding EVIDENCE and the CONSEQUENCES of the pressure being placed on Julián Alvarez to their already existing cases with FIFA and the RFEF against Barça.
Julián did not attend training today, after the player contacted the medical staff and informed them that he was not feeling well and did not feel up to going to training.
They believe Barça's pressure has resulted in the player not feeling up to attending training, which entails direct costs for Atlético Madrid: financial costs, sporting costs due to a drop in performance, and reputational costs.
As part of that, the club will show patience and provide the necessary support to look after the player, who remains in constant contact with the club’s services, so that he can recover as soon as possible and return to training and work.
Atleti believe that the handling of the situation by his representative, his entourage and FC Barcelona has destabilised the player.
For that reason, Atlético Madrid will continue to stand by him, support him and work towards helping him improve.
Furthermore, they confirm that Julián Álvarez has a 0% chance of joining Barça.
At Atleti, they believe this situation is not about money; it is about RESPECT and DIGNITY.
They will neither talk nor negotiate with the Blaugrana club.

🚨🔴🔵 OFFICIAL: Ousmane Dembélé will benefit from a rest period in the next few days.
In agreement with the coach and the sports management, Ousmane will resume training on Monday with the whole group.
In the next 5~10 years the bummiest prem player will be sold for min. fee of 100M and that is when the league will start eating itself because no other league itw will be able to operate on that casino level economy.
As time passes Tebas will be right. There is something artificial about the economy of the premier league. It's all one big bubble fabricated to drown the other leagues.
Hate how much I'm beginning to agree with that fvcker but he's right the league will keep inflating.
🚨🌳 BREAKING: Nottingham Forest reach verbal agreement to sign Liam Delap from Chelsea, here we go!
Fee around £45m as @JPercyTelegraph reported, medical booked and #NFFC ready to proceed with formal steps.
Delap said yes to Forest project after speaking to Oliver Glasner.
🚨🗣️ 𝗡𝗘𝗪: Nigel de Jong (Netherlands technical director): "Our first candidate to replace Ronald Koeman was Pep Guardiola, but he wanted to take a year off.
Our second candidate was Arne Slot, but he preferred to stay active in club football.
Then we moved on to the third candidate, the man next to me, Xavi Hernandez."
Want me to stop taking you serious as a Barça fan? Talk down on Pedri. Just like with Iniesta I don't play about this type of footballers. These type of phenoms play the game at their own speed and rhythm. You cannot teach it, you cannot learn it, they are born with it.
Really happy that Fermín got his goal, but can we just appreciate Pedri’s turn and pass into Gordon.
Stuff like that won’t end up being remembered come the end of the season because it’s not a G/A but I’ll always give Pedri his flowers.
