@MutumaoNkanata@JunetMohamed You rely on rumours which is a sad attribute of a true man.
Men don't gossip.
Raila himself never accused @JunetMohamed of the same why would?
@MPyusufhassan Pole sana to the owners of Yare Plaza and the entire Eastleigh business community. Thank you, Hon. Yusuf, for your swift response and for standing with the people today.
Today, I had the pleasure of meeting hundreds of women from every corner of Kamukunji. I gave them an update on the major development projects we have completed and those still underway, highlighting the real and positive difference they are making in the lives of our people.
I also reaffirmed my commitment to expanding the constituency’s empowerment initiatives so that even more families can benefit. Above all, I thanked them sincerely for their unwavering support and solidarity.
The Kamukunji Youth Empowerment Drive concluded today with over 900 young people from across the constituency flocking to the California Resource Centre to register for a comprehensive refresher and crash course programme designed to tackle unemployment and empower young people.
Kamukunji MP Yusuf Hassan has assured that all registered applicants of the youth skills training programme in the constituency will have an opportunity to participate and called on the private sector to support the publicly funded initiative.
The programme targets unemployed youth aged 35 and below from informal settlements, with flexibility to consider individual cases above the age limit and offers courses in electrical engineering, beauty therapy, hairdressing, plumbing, catering, driving, masonry, photography, videography, housekeeping, welding and fabrication, among others.
The training will run for three to six months and will provide certification upon completion.
Young people in Nairobi’s Kamukunji Constituency are set to benefit from a new skills training initiative led by MP Yusuf Hassan, with hundreds already registering for short courses to boost employment and self-employment opportunities.
Among them is Alex Ochieng from California who says financial challenges affected his KCSE results. He has applied for electrical engineering and plumbing courses in the hope of becoming self-employed.

This afternoon, I joined Gikomba traders at their end-of-year thanksgiving prayers led by Bishop Alfred Nyaoro of PEFA Church. I assured them, as I have continuously done as MP, that I will stand by them and work with the government and the community to improve the market’s infrastructure.
I am proud to have championed the first multistorey modern market in Gikomba, which opened in 2021, and I am particularly pleased with the new seven-storey Quarry Road market, which is nearing completion and will open soon.
After the event, I had the opportunity to talk with and listen to the people of Gikomba. I am grateful for the warm reception they extended and for their continued support.
Today, Kamukunji MP Yusuf Hassan joined traders and community leaders at the annual end-of-year prayers held at the Gikomba Shoe Section of Quarry Road Market.
This morning, I was honoured to inaugurate Minhaj Academy in Parklands. As an extension of the California Group of Schools—an integrated and highly successful institution that has graduated thousands of children from Eastleigh and beyond—I am excited about the new opportunities it provides. The event was attended by HE Jabril Ibrahim, Ambassador of Somalia to Kenya; Ambassador Mohamed Abdi Affey; Group Patron Sheikh Mahamud Mohamed Shibli; Chairman Eng. Mahamud Tawane; Vice Chairman Abdirahman Mohamed Shibli; and Abdifatah Ali Hassan, CEO of Rodol Homes.
Muinami Road, which straddles California and Pumwani wards, is done and dusted. Traffic is once again freely flowing through it. Digo and Quarry Roads in Pumwani and Captain Mungai Road in Eastleigh North are next and part of the latest batch of roads I have championed, which will be completed in partnership with KURA.
