@Wafallell I completely agree, Raphael. It basically just feels like a corrupt system now where people can pay for their checkmarks, and verified status can just be completely illegitimate.

This really just reiterates my notion of Twitter's awful state, ever since Elon Musk's takeover. I do hope that Twitter can return to it's legitimate status before things started going downhill, it feels like verified status is just pointless now #beachsmc

The more that I begin to hear about Bluesky, I do become more intrigued considering the terrible state of Twitter right now. However, it sort of bothers me that the exclusivity of the app is contributing to it's popularity. It feels wrong #beachsmc
@Pacastr101 I agree, Pablo. Reddit is generally known on the surface for its more seedy content, but it retains a plethora of hidden gems for content and community information. I hope that Reddit can stay a strong platform and have a more stalwart reputation @BeachSMC

I'm having a hard time really understanding what makes this new social media app so groundbreaking. What sort of the "latest artificial intelligence" is more defining than other social media apps? @BeachSMC

It's crazy that people are so adamant about demanding transparency from TikTok considering how most social media platforms operate similarly, yet the aggression towards TikTok seems driven by the fact that they are owned by a Chinese company @BeachSMC
@joseline_3470 I remember addressing this article for my last twitter moment, and I was reminded of the effects that come from "algorithmic anxiety." It's too easy now to just take in your recommended content that it discourages most people to explore for a diverse array of topics #beachsmc
As important as the idea of free speech is, I firmly believe hate speech is something that people should no longer have to to endure. Especially when societal problems related to race, gender, sex, etc. continue to permeate American society #beachsmc

Very interesting to see that the distrust in social media, with regards to data privacy, has hit Facebook the hardest, especially how the loss of trust from consumers correlates with other online companies ending their Facebook integrations #beachsmc

It's nice to see Google/YouTube take more preemptive action in combatting the spread of misinformation. The 2020 election cycle was wildly hectic, making things like simply finding credible information on the topic a great challenge for many #beachsmc

"Users can’t be blamed for misunderstanding the limits of algorithms, because tech companies have gone out of their way to keep their systems opaque."
It's no wonder I'm always thinking about how my actions affect the algorithm for my content #beachsmc

@Kramer01Sabrina Companies do require an adaptive model of social media to survive, however the whole idea realistically seems futile. Programs like Friendster, MySpace, or Vine all gave way to more evolved social media. The same will likely happen to Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook. #beachsmc
