@EntheosHearing provided hearing services and found moderate loss in her right ear and a severe loss in her left. Even with hearing loss and borrowed devices, Ola kept up with her 5th grade studies and hasn’t let hearing loss stop her.
Meet 10 year-old Ola from Jordan who experienced hearing loss since she was eight months old. To help her hear, she borrowed hearing aids from a neighbor. Ola had to return the hearing aids and was without hearing devices for three months.
Dr. Shih shares, "He had NEVER heard her voice on the phone because she couldn't converse or hear the person. She had called him every day for the past four days, just to be sure she could hear him and it was not a dream."
This is 14 year-old Cleidi, from Brazil who received an exam and hearing aids from Dr. Julia Shih. Four days after her appointment, Cleidi visited Dr. Shih for a follow up appointment and said the biggest joy she had was being able to call her father.
This is 23 year-old Sergio, from Guatemala who experienced hearing loss since birth. A friend told him about the clinic and the opportunity to get fitted for hearing aids. Sergio's smile is a great reminder of why we do what we do.

Today, we're virtually traveling back to Brazil, where audiologists and volunteers partnered with Viva o Som Clinic. The clinic provides services to residents of Parintins and the outlying areas. That includes both children and adults, we were excited and inspired to join them.
Today, we're taking you back to a mission trip to Jordan. Audiologists provided hearing services for children who were unable to access healthcare. In addition, volunteers provided training and supplies to clinic staff to help build sustainable hearing health care systems.
