Why has @Channel4News turned off the comments? 🤔
Only perverts want to invade women’s spaces BTW. Just because a pervert puts on a skirt and talks in a high pitched voice doesn’t make him any less male or any less perverted.
Why are you platforming perverts @Channel4News?
Channel 4 yet again, airing the bleating hearts AGP men over and above the women and children affected by their fetish.
A UK national news organisation is championing peeping toms, voyeurs and flashers over and above actual women. We used to be a nation that shamed these men into their own privacy, where their perversion belongs.
@Channel4News why did you switch off replies after a mere 3 responses?
You’re receiving public money and are supposedly a public broadcaster with a remit to consider a range of views.
I will “never be safe” in a women’s toilet while they are invaded by men like this.
Open up responses and listen to your audience!
@Channel4News https://t.co/WPRNZwvFIn
Why did you turn off the comments on your interview with the trans identified man?
And why have you ignored the fact that trans identified men have sexually assaulted women in toilets? In the UK?
It's not up to women to protect men from each other.
BBC Radio 4 6pm news: “the IOC has banned transgender women from the Olympics”.
This is a pack of brazen lies!
The IOC has banned MALES from the FEMALE category! Transgender women (ie MALES) are very welcome at the Olympics in the MALE category!!!
Why all the lies, BBC?!
@Channel4News Are we going to have to endure hundreds of news articles of cross dressing men saying they’re sad and scared because they can’t use female spaces again? Can we celebrate that women and girls have reclaimed our spaces back and that we are happy about it?
I don't think I've ever heard a woman talk about having 'lovely chats with girls' in the toilets.
More to the point, did Channel 4 give two minutes of airtime to someone who could explain the safeguarding context - and why all men must stay out of women's spaces? Including those who identify as women.
@Channel4News devoted around two minutes of airtime to a man who identifies as a woman explaining why he does not feel safe using the facilities for his biological sex.
He said he was verbally abused in the men's toilets, but later described having "lovely chats with women" after starting to use the women's facilities.
The obvious follow-up questions weren't asked.
Did any women object? Does he accept that some women may have valid reasons for feeling uncomfortable? How should their rights be balanced?
He was also asked whether using gender-neutral toilets would make him feel less "seen" - a question framed through the language of gender identity rather than the competing rights at the heart of the debate.
We don't know whether this was part of a longer report, but we hope viewers also heard from someone able to explain the safeguarding context - and why many women believe female-only spaces must exclude all men, including those who identify as women.
@JenKteach If biological men aren't safe in men's toilets then that's a man's issue. Women should not be used as shields because some biological males don't feel safe using the men's. That's an issue for them to resolve not Women
@JenKteach Me and my daughters are not support animals for men who say they are women. The same men who assaulted my then 15 year old daughter at LWS Brum who have contributed to my deafness the last 8 years, who have tried to poke my eyes out with umbrellas, pushed and shoved. NO.
Comments turned off - so I won't reward them with more traction.. so here is a screenshot of Channel 4's post; with some chap in a dress, saying how he doesn't want to use the men's toilet... because he thinks he has magical feelings that override the safety and dignity of all women and girls.... guess what Dave... you don't and men don't care about you using the gents... because like them you are a man!!
Channel 4 blocking replies.
He's male, he has no right to be in female spaces.
This is an issue for men - to accept peeing at the urinals next to a transvestite male.
This is not a problem women should have. Women and girls are entitled to their safety, privacy and dignity.
Men need to be educated to accommodate gnc men. Most don't care tbf if a man in a frock uses the gents. Those that do need to be held accountable. Women aren't human shields.
Males are a threat to females no matter how they present.
Why would Channel 4 turn replies off?
We all know why, of course.
Weak reporting with shut down discourse doesn't help at all.
Not even a mention of women and girls safety or dignity. It's all about the men.
@cathydevine56@Channel4News They did everything possible to avoid a comparison, even trimming the TW feet off the bottom .
Look how much she has to look up to him despite practically sitting on the floor.
@cathydevine56@Channel4News I will not be watching @channel4news again until they stop this shit. I cannot imagine for a second that @krishgm believes any of this crap. Surely he has a say in this?
