Anas (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The supplication made between the Adhan and the Iqamah is never rejected."
(Riyad ul Saliheen 1041, Book 8, Hadith 51)
Almighty. Heal and comfort us. Only You know our pain and understand our discomfort. Only You know our grief and sorrow. Only You know our loneliness and suffering. Restore us in every way and keep hope alive in our hearts. Aameen.
Start your day with 15 to 30 deep breaths.
Breathe in deeply and slowly to the count of 5, hold for 2 seconds and then out slowly and deeply to the count of 5.
It takes only 3 to 5 minutes but will have profound effects on your day. A great habit to develop and practice daily.
Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that: the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Al-Yawmul-Maw’ud (the Promised Day) is the Day of Resurrection, and Al-Yawmul-Mashhud (the Attended Day) is the Day of Arafah, and Ash-Shahid (the witness) is Friday.” He said: “The sun does not rise nor set, upon a day that is more virtuous than it. In it, there is an hour in which no believing worshipper makes a supplication to Allah for good, except that Allah answers it for him, and he does not seek Allah’s aid for something, except that He aids him in it.”
(Jami’ at-Tirmidhi, Book 47, Hadith 3661)
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (RA) that his brother Fadl (RA) was riding behind the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) in the morning of sacrifice (i.e., the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah), when a woman from Khath'am came and said:
"O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), the command of Allah has come for His slaves to perform Hajj, but my father is an old man and cannot ride.
May I perform Hajj on his behalf?" He said:
"Yes, because if your father owed a debt you would pay it off."
(Sunan Ibn Majah 2907, Book 25, Hadith 26)
Ibn Umar (RA) narrated: "The Prophet (ﷺ) would say the following for the Talbiyah:
"Labbaik Allahumma labbaik. Labbaik la sharika laka labbaik. Innal-hamda wan-ni’mata laka wal-mulk, la sharika laka." ('I respond to Your call O Allah! I respond to Your call. You have no partner. I respond to Your call. All praise, thanks and blessings are for You. All sovereignty is for You. And You have no partners with You).'"
(Jami`at-Tirmidhi 825, Book 9, Hadith 18)
Narrated Abu Huraira (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Whoever performs Hajj for Allah's pleasure and does not have sexual relations with his wife, and does not do evil or sins then he will return (after Hajj free from all sins) as if he were born anew."
(Sahih al-Bukhari 1521, Book 25, Hadith 9)
We are born pure and free of sin, and the blessed pilgrimage to Allah’s House makes the sinner pure again. Let us all aspire to perform Hajj for Allah’s pleasure and remember each other in all our duas Insha’Allah.
We’re not perfect. We sin, we falter and make mistakes but we do our best trying to please You. Almighty. We ask You to accept the deeds we do solely for Your sake. Forgive our shortcomings. We will never lose hope in Your Mercy. Aameen.
Narrated Thumamah bin 'Abdullah (RA): "Anas would not refuse perfume, and Anas said: 'Indeed the Prophet (ﷺ) would not refuse perfume."
(Tirmidhi Vol. 5, Book 41, Hadith 2789)
Almighty. We’re grateful for Your countless blessings. We know Your Plan is always the best, even though the process may be painful and difficult at times. Your Will is beyond our will and we trust You upon all conditions. Aameen.
Wherever life takes you, just be kind. Never mind if it’s not reciprocated. Do it for the sake of the Almighty and watch how your life takes on a different turn.
Take care of your body. You only get one.
Here are some simple things to help.
- Laugh
- Fast often
- Exercise daily
- Sleep 7+ hours
- Eat more veggies
- Drink less alcohol
- Drink enough water
- Quit sugar and soda
- Avoid refined grains; white bread, pasta, chapati, cake
If you don't forgive, your body holds tension which can lead to disease or immune system breakdown.
Forgiveness can be hard but is essential. It isn't about forgetting but letting go.
Start by forgiving yourself. Everyday repeat loudly 10 times
"I forgive myself"
#GoodDay
Abu Hurairah (RA) reported Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) as saying:
He who would get into Paradise (would be made to enjoy such an everlasting) bliss that he would neither become destitute, nor would his clothes wear out, nor his youth would decline.
(Sahih Muslim, Book 40, Hadith 6802)
Drinking water is good.
But please drink from a stainless steel or glass water bottle.
Avoid water from plastic water bottles when possible.
Many contain chemical substances that are harmful to our health and that have even been linked to #cancer.
Almighty. Grant us peace of mind and keep our hopes alive. Many feel broken and in need of comfort. It may be hard for some to focus on blessings when times are tough. When storms are brewing and days look dark, guide us to the path of light. Aameen.
