I want to show you the most important year in the history of American health.

1977.

For 20 years before that line, obesity in America was stable. 13 to 15 percent. Flat.

In 1977, the McGovern Committee published the first Dietary Goals for the United States. The government told America to cut fat from 40 percent of calories to 30 percent.

America listened. And replaced fat with sugar, refined carbohydrates, and seed oils.

Look at what happened next.

Obesity: 15 percent to 42 percent.
Diabetes: 2.5 percent to 12 percent.

Both lines were flat before 1977. Both lines exploded after.

The government changed the guidelines. Then everything changed.

This is not a coincidence. This is a policy failure measured in millions of lives.

I keep hearing the same defense.

“The system is working. Medicine is advancing. People are living longer.”

I pulled 40 years of data. Every metabolic disease. Every major condition. Indexed to 1985.

Diabetes: up 515 percent.
Alzheimer’s: up 360 percent.
Obesity: up 180 percent.
Heart disease deaths: flat. Still number one. 700,000 Americans every year.

Now look at the green line.

Global pharmaceutical revenue: up 1,550 percent. From $100 billion to $1.65 trillion.

Every disease line goes up. The revenue line goes up faster.

Not a single metabolic disease has been reversed, reduced, or solved. In 40 years. With trillions spent.

The system is not failing. It is performing exactly as designed.

A cured patient is a cancelled subscription.
