Canada has long been known as a land of immigrants and opportunity. However, many are left wondering:

what broke Canada?

Here is a real story shared by a close friend.

My friend landed in Canada in 2015 and was offered free English coaching as part of his early settlement assistance in Saskatchewan. He joined these English lessons and noticed that he had several classmates from the African continent. Surprisingly, these classmates had been stuck at the exact same English proficiency level for three to four years. This was shocking to my friend because it was a very basic, introductory level that could easily be cleared within three months.

After befriending most of them, my friend figured out the truth. These individuals had actually been living in Canada for seven to eight years and were still studying at the exact same college. Furthermore, none of them had applied for Canadian citizenship; they all remained permanent residents.

The Loophole

The reason was simple, if you become a Canadian citizen, you no longer qualify for free language schooling. These free English programs are a benefit reserved strictly for permanent residents.

Because they shared a similar religious background, many of these families had between four and eight children. Additionally, their cultural or religious beliefs did not permit the women to work outside the home. Since the men were perpetually "in school," these families were able to claim every single government benefit available to them. They received money for:

Food and groceries
Rent assistance
Unemployment benefits
Child tax benefits

Meanwhile, our own elderly population has to keep working well past the age of 65 simply because they cannot afford to retire.

This is what broke Canada: weak government policies exploited by strong personal interests.

Had some friends visit last night from the great white north. It was disheartening to hear all the government narratives pour out of them like well-rehearsed talking points.

I asked them what was happening with the title deeds in BC. "The natives are taking back their land, that's what's happening", they told me, with that typical self-righteous smugness the average Canadian has become known by.

No thought or care about the families who are trying to make ends meet servicing a $800k mortgage while their ownership is in question.

Meanwhile buddy lives in BC, surrounded by "nations".

We had a long conversation about the total idiocy of this nation-within-Canada idea. They have swallowed the line "diversity is our strength" hook, line and sinker.

The obvious result of nations inside of another nation is that everyone is at odds with each other. Rights are conflicting, there's an important lack of shared goals, and no shared identity. Nobody is loyal to Canada. Patriotism is a foreign concept.

A perfect example of this is when children at a Calgary school found out last week that their lunch room was off limits during lunch time to show solidarity with those fasting for Ramadan. Conflicting rights, opposing identities. There's a winner, and a loser.

Diversity is our Strength is a clever deception that appeals to the naive mind of the low IQ individual. This is what happens when you're bombarded with the narratives of the CBC and other mainstream news outlets on a daily basis - you can't see the forest for the trees.

I reminded my friend of the age old truth, United we Stand but divided we fall. A faint and distant light seem to flicker behind his weary eyes. Like he's heard it somewhere before.

It sounds nice to say we have so many nations in our nation. That diversity is our strength. But it's a retarded take. The logic is completely faulty. It's a deception built on the ancient strategy of divide and conquer. Our government just managed to wrap it up in beautiful packaging before selling it to us.

You cannot build a nation by going in 56 different ways. You cannot progress if you appeal to everyone. You must offend those who are opposed to you and your way of life. It is the only way forward and it's part of life.

Offense is a natural and essential part of growth. Even on a personal level offense is necessary for growth. If there is any hope of forward momentum, you must offend your old habits and comforts.

To my fellow Canadians: take your balls in your hands, grow a spine and learn to offend. Your existence depends on it.
