Why sell a membership, take their money immediately, but make them wait 7 days to use the main benefit?

@RuiterWrongFAN I complain about paying for Sunday Ticket every year to watch this garbage. I can't imagine paying for season tickets. Every year I buy ST because I think, if I don't, this is the year they'll be good and I'll miss it. I watch less and less of the games now.
