US full-time workers: The WAFER Lab needs your help with a very brief 3-5 minute survey on attitudes and behaviors towards your work. These data will be used as a comparison sample for a larger project. Please retweet! https://t.co/xL7HM1XToH
Roger Stone. Found guilty by a jury on 7 federal criminal counts. No jail time.
Kalief Browder. Accused of stealing a backpack. Couldn’t post bail. Spent 3 years at Riker’s awaiting trial. Ultimately committed suicide after released.
We have two justice systems in our country.
For those that are new to the DataCamp controversy: I have been following it from the beginning, and I'm here to share a bit so you know why this is big news and why the #rstats community is so fired up:
I can’t stop looking at these images of protesters wearing masks, keeping distance, and being their best selves, juxtaposed with maskless cops surrounding, attacking, corralling, jailing, and gassing people.
Protesting isn’t a #COVID19 superspreading event—police violence is.
"This immediate resort to violence is proof that you are not really dedicated to resolving the issue, but instead are simply using it as an excuse to indulge in your criminal instincts. Fortunately, we have cops to handle that sort of behavior."
"Some of the demonstrations have turned violent"? This does not happen out of the blue. You fail to mention the violence directly caused by police. Do better @nytimes

Perhaps you do not realize the shared point of view you have with the people you call "terrorists"...
Murders with limited legal recompense, destruction of black lives, families and communities.
"We have to have zero tolerance for this destruction"
Anarchy, rioting, and looting needs to end tonight.
If local law enforcement is overwhelmed and needs backup, let's see how tough these Antifa terrorists are when they're facing off with the 101st Airborne Division.
We need to have zero tolerance for this destruction.
To the student who proposes to "rigorously randomly select and assign participants..."
Thank you. I love your passion and needed a laugh.
Maybe I've been half-assing my random assignment all this time 🤔
@andrewheiss I've recently switched to slack for class communication and it seems promising so far. It's also more aligned with how (I think) students communicate. It's also more fun for me, but harder to grade.
