@patcullen9 So very disappointed that such a good leader will go to waste. Joining an abstentionist party- you’ll waste your talents and represent none of us in NI particularly in health
@patcullen9 V https://t.co/SfaFshu8Ha such an eloquent & positive leader 4 nurses, this will do nothing 4 the people of N https://t.co/kB1Tb0DlYY an abstentionist party,Sinn Fein do little to influence Westminster.Your talents to instigate change, particularly in health will be squandered.

A study from #AERATOR published in @Anaes_Journal showing that even with a large intentional leak during PPV via SGA (here a ProSeal LMA) there was no evidence of aerosol generation
The full suite of airway procedures have now been studied.
The following are NOT aerosol generating (& therefore cannot by definition be an AGP)
-tracheal intubation
-SGA insertion
-upper airway suction
-CPAP
-HFNO
Conversely the following ARE aerosol generating (are AGPs)
-exertional breathing
-awake bronchoscopy/nasendoscopy
-upper GI endoscopy
-cough
-CPR
The last is studied in this important paper

Would surgeons accept two patients in an Opertaing theatre?
Would intensive cares have two patients sharing one cubicle space?
Would oncologists accept other patients in the corner of their consultation and room when breaking bad news?
Of course no to all three - but in A&E we accept corridor care and it's unacceptable
We have to change what's happening to our nhs
Did you know that staying in the hospital for a long time can lead to deconditioning and other risks?
Rowena, physiotherapist from Loane House in South Tyrone Hospital tells us why patients need to get up, get dressed and keep moving.
#ccotRVH@dmforrester70 and I attending the strikes today. Thanks to @markataylor16 for being visible and proactively supporting his nursing colleagues. (Pic credit to Prof Taylor)
It’s been over nine months since we had a pay offer for nursing staff on AfC contracts in Northern Ireland. We’re still waiting on its implementation.
Today, we said enough is enough. We won’t stand by as pay falls behind the rest of the UK. Thank you for all your support.
@theRCN I hope when you’re negotiating for a pay rise for UK nurses that includes lobbying the devolved administrations to commit to it to. You forget that in NI nurses were pushed to strike just to achieve parity with mainland colleagues after years of being left behind
@JuniorDoctorNI @easyJet Hope you get sorted. I had a very drunken night in Tirana that involved pizza and a massive statue with a horse if I remember correctly.
