A Public Service Announcement for those attending the Denver Regional Championship tomorrow: snow is predicted for tomorrow. Might be all day; might only be at night. Could be a light dusting; could be several feet. That's just how it works in this town. Plan accordingly.
@BasicMountain I realize that this is falls under next order consequences, but the evidence for scamming Grief alone being a problem is thin at best. Everyone was doing that with Ephemerate after MH2 and it didn't work out. I know it's unfun, but it's not too powerful.
@ComeauPaulJ I'm not a member, but I never heard anything good about that organization, so I'm ok with it going away. I'm not ok with there being nothing in that announcement of what is replacing it.
I'm a huge nerd, so when I saw @OutsidedInsight 's Modern Metagame article (https://t.co/i75sKDz6Oh) I went ahead and did something similar for Pioneer!

@IsaacKing314 If I recall correctly, Narset makes Library useless since it limits you to one instance of "draw a card" per turn. It doesn't matter if you didn't actually draw the card, you used up your instance to dredge instead.
The One Ring is driving the metagame changes in Modern. However, the impact isn't particularly high, and the card's power remains unclear says @OutsidedInsight.

The Reserved List isn't going anywhere. Could Wizards modify the list so they can have their cake and eat it too? @ComeauPaulJ shares his thoughts on the subject.

This week @LessAlex shares with us a brand new face in the Pioneer metagame: Boros Pia Aggro! Is it a flash in the pan, or here to stay as a top-tier strategy?

The June Modern Metagame Update is here. New additions have stirred Modern's mostly stagnant metagame, but that might not be permanent. @OutsidedInsight has the details.

Every Limited format holds a lesson. LTR's is about sequencing. This week, Rob considers optimizing sequencing in LTR Draft, especially with The Ring and amass.

This week David S. looks at specs based on legends from The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth that will make a splash in Commander. What makes a good buy?

@OutsidedInsight explains why Vintage on Magic Online is way underplayed, offering a crash course on its rules of engagement. Be warned: here there be dragons.

Tales of Middle Earth is not Standard-legal, but its power level is low like that of a Core Set. With that in mind, how much should draft booster boxes cost? @sigfig8 investigates.

The longer this goes on, the more it looks like my theory that Wizards' marketing department held onto the box with the serialized The One Ring is plausible.
It's not that Jeskai is bad, but Rob's found the wedge operates a bit differently than expected. Meanwhile, red continues to over-perform in LTR Draft.
