@YongYea@Nitroid It is. Especially something that can be easily patched out that still there even after you covered it. Let’s not forget at all the work culture difference between the east and west. Where something like this would have been scrutinized.
@MattMcMuscles This guy probably never watched or made it to the end of any 80’s through early 00’s movie. Probably doesn’t even know Jackie Chan exists.
@Sylph_Figured Yeah, the ones with appliqués are the ones that get my goat. It feels to me like they’re trying to make it look like a coat a fancy noble would have but without having a reference to the types of jackets nobles would wear.
@Sylph_Figured Was wondering what you meant by “howl jacket” but as soon as I googled it I saw exactly what you meant. I do agree that a lot of embellishments just look out of place. I enjoy how simple the original design is.
@RingtailRenegay@Hideki_Naganuma Yeah that’s kinda the thing. Publishers and some game studios would rather have you believe that they made the thing so as to not make any single person valuable enough to be compensated more.
@RingtailRenegay@Hideki_Naganuma The industry prefers work-for-hire situations where the work belongs to the people that payed for it completely. This way they can have total control over the items made and don’t even have to give credits to the artists.
@shainehinnant I will say the Star Wars prequels did a better job at showing us how Anakin Skywalker turned to Vader than the MGS games trying to turn John to Big boss.
@shainehinnant Like there were such weird tone shifts each game from MGSPO to MGSV. Where it seems like they tried really hard to make Big Boss more serious but they just couldn’t and so they literally just had to get him out of the picture in V to actually try to justify him turning bad.
