I cannot overemphasize the power of social media these days.
People now walk into the pharmacy with prescriptions from TikTok.

While caring about your health is good, many of these recommendations are misleading.
Almost 2/3 of patients I see daily come with drug advice from TikTok and most of it is wrong.

Here’s the danger:

1. Wrong diagnosis
A video may describe symptoms similar to yours—but your condition could be completely different.

2. Incorrect drug choice
What worked for someone online may be useless or even harmful for you.

I’ll always say this:
Consult a professional. Always.
