In 1938, Oliver Tambo and Joseph Mokoena broke academic barriers for Black students, with their high scores in Mathematics and Physical Science in the Transvaal being matched by only one White student that year. This prompted the government to probe their marks and ordered them to rewrite both subjects. Even after rewriting, both Tambo & Mokoena still topped the matric class of the year. South Africans do not hate Black people.

If they did, they would also hate Black people from Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, and Eswatini.
But they don’t. The difference is those Black people from neighboring countries are not entering South Africa carrying the same heavy social baggage, the crime, the entitlement, the destruction of infrastructure, and the demands on already strained resources.

People are fed up.
Every country has its own problems. We’re all struggling with unemployment, poverty, failing services, and corruption in our own nations. So why should South Africans be expected to smile and welcome more problems?
