रीवा: मध्य प्रदेश के रीवा स्थित गांधी मेमोरियल अस्पताल से एक बेहद दर्दनाक मामला सामने आया है। पहली डिलीवरी के लिए अस्पताल में भर्ती 25 वर्षीय कल्पना मिश्रा का एक वीडियो उनकी मौत से पहले सामने आया, जिसमें वह रोते हुए अपने परिजनों से मदद की गुहार लगाती दिखाई देती हैं।

वीडियो में कल्पना अपनी हालत को लेकर डर जाहिर करती हैं और कहती हैं कि अगर इसी तरह इलाज चलता रहा तो उनकी जान चली जाएगी। परिजनों के मुताबिक, इस वीडियो के कुछ ही घंटे बाद प्रसव के दौरान कल्पना और उनके नवजात बच्चे, दोनों की मौत हो गई।

कल्पना अपने पिता की इकलौती बेटी थीं। परिवार ने अस्पताल पर गंभीर लापरवाही के आरोप लगाए हैं, हालांकि इसकी आधिकारिक जांच अभी जारी है। मामले में कार्रवाई करते हुए दो नर्सिंग अधिकारियों को निलंबित किया गया है और जांच समिति गठित की गई है।

यह मामला सिर्फ एक परिवार की त्रासदी नहीं, बल्कि सरकारी अस्पतालों में प्रसूता महिलाओं की सुरक्षा और जवाबदेही पर भी गंभीर सवाल खड़े करता है।

On the day of the unfortunate incident, we were in Lhasa. From Lhasa, right now we are in a place called Darchen, which is at the foothills of Mount Kailash. In the background, in fact, you can see Mount Kailash. Here, there are about 500 Indians; all of them are fine and safe. Of course, some of them are travelling back through different routes. Devki Adhikari, a member of the family, says, "My brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, sister, and several members of the family are missing...When they left for the journey ahead, there was no warning of the danger ahead. Every month, a woman's body opens a wound the size of her palm and heals it in five days without leaving a mark.

Nothing else in an adult human does this. Cut your arm and you get a scar. Cut your liver, your lung, your heart, and the body patches the hole with tough fibrous tissue that never works as well as what it replaced. Scarring is the standard repair job. It is fast, it is cheap, and it costs you function every time.

The lining of the womb refuses to do it. When a period starts, that lining tears away and leaves a raw surface underneath, bleeding, inflamed, exactly like a wound. Within days it is gone. No scar tissue, no thickening, no loss of function. The surface rebuilds to full working thickness, around eight millimetres, ready to hold a pregnancy.

She does this roughly 400 times across her life, and at no point does anyone call it healing. Doctors have watched it survive things that should absolutely leave damage. Surgical scraping of the womb lining heals clean. Cutting through the full thickness of it to remove a growth heals clean. Even the long incision through the wall of the uterus in a caesarean heals without the fibrous mess you would expect.

Researchers are now taking the fluid apart to find out why. It carries live cells, immune cells, and a soup of proteins, and when that fluid is applied to other wounds in the lab it speeds up how fast skin closes over.

Which is a strange place for medicine to end up. The thing women are taught to treat as an inconvenience is the only tissue in the adult body that has solved a problem surgeons have been losing to for a century.

She is Rutuja, who was preparing for the MPSC Drug Inspector exam in Maharashtra.

Before the exam, the question paper was leaked from inside the MPSC system, as it was shared among 3 MPSC employees, and one of them passed the paper to a coaching-class operator in Nandurbar.

Rutuja's father wanted to get the question paper for her before the exam. He got the paper from coaching-class operator for Rs 5 lakh as an advance payment, with more money promised later after the exam.

Her father then gave the paper to Rutuja.

Rutuja shared the leaked question paper with her boyfriend Gaurav.

Then, the exam took place, and when the results came out, Rutuja cleared the exam and secured 7th rank in the recruitment process.

But after that, the relationship between Rutuja and Gaurav ended. They broke up.

After the breakup, Gaurav decided to take revenge for the breakup, so he sent an email to the MPSC and complained about his ex girlfriend Rutuja, in connection with the paper leak.

Later, he realized that he himself could also get into trouble. After all, he had received the leaked question paper from Rutuja.

So, he tried to take back his complaint. He approached the MPSC again and claimed that he had been confused about the examination process.

But it was too late, as the investigation had already started. In the end, all people involved in the paper leak case were arrested, including Gaurav.

This love story went from sharing feelings to sharing evidence...hmmmm...Some breakups end with blocking each other. This one ended with everyone getting exposed.

It is now clear that the Nepal disaster was caused by a natural trigger (cryospheric collapse) but amplified by Chinese hydrological modifications and infrastructure footprint along the Tibetan side of the border. In other words, China's upstream actions did not cause the glacier failure but contributed to the disaster's severity and cascading impacts downstream.

Worse, despite a deepening relationship with Kathmandu, Beijing did not send an emergency notification to Nepal of sudden water-level spikes, debris-dam formation or other upstream anomalies. An immediate notification, by compelling authorities to evacuate vulnerable people, could have potentially reduced the death toll.

The Two Paths of Life: Śreyas and Preyas in the Kaṭha Upanishad… 🔥

The Kaṭha Upanishad teaches that almost every important human choice places two possibilities before us: Śreyas, what is truly beneficial, and Preyas, what is immediately pleasant.

> Preyas is what attracts us through immediate pleasure, comfort, gratification, or convenience. It satisfies desire now, but does not necessarily lead toward lasting well-being or wisdom.

> Śreyas is what genuinely leads toward the good. It may require discipline, patience, sacrifice, and the willingness to reject immediate gratification for something higher.

> Yama tells Nachiketa that both Śreyas and Preyas approach the human being. The wise examine them carefully and choose Śreyas, while those driven by desire tend to choose what is merely pleasant.

> Nachiketa himself becomes the perfect example. Yama offers him wealth, long life, beautiful pleasures, power, and worldly enjoyment. Yet Nachiketa refuses them because he knows that all such pleasures eventually disappear.

👉 Instead, he chooses knowledge of the Ātman and asks Yama to reveal what lies beyond death.

The teaching is not that every pleasure is wrong. Its deeper message is that pleasure becomes bondage when it makes us sacrifice what is ultimately beneficial for what is temporarily satisfying.

Preyas asks:
“What feels good now?”

Śreyas asks:
“What will lead me toward what is truly good?”

And according to the Kaṭha Upanishad... The direction of an entire life can be determined by which question we choose to follow.
