@DoreFatum My space birds have crystal rifles inspired from Halo covenant weapons, and healing pods themed after Stargate Sarcophaguses, and a ship aesthetic inspired from the Goa'uld ships (also from Stargate). Rule of cool is peak.
@SaphireTail I meant I'm still publishing the fanfic and spending a lot of time editing it when I'm ready to start using that time implementing the novelization. I've already got a general plot, gameplan, and world building for my own setting. I refuse to leave the fanfic unfinished though.
Me: Time to edit this chapter
Me fixing my prose: Oops, that's a typo
Me fixing the typo: Oh no, the tense doesn't match
Me fixing the tense: This phrasing sucks now.
Me 2 days later re-reading it: Ducking bushtit, how did I miss these spelling errors!?!
@SaphireTail I'm at the point where I'm trying to force myself to let go of approaching perfection and push my fanfiction out the door so I can get around to rewriting it in my own setting and turning it into a real novel.
I feel like artists shouldn't shy away from retweeting (or is it called reposting now) each other's art! It's a really good way to make someone's happy. As a small artist who has just come back to be more active on this platform, I appreciate everyone who interacts with me
@IntenselyReadin A mixture of genuine enthusiasm, autism, determination to finish the story, topped with a dreadful sprinkling of "what have I gotten myself into?".
@arthkellermann Yeah, you gotta learn how to use time/spaces for yourself. I learned how to draw a few years ago when during a 6 month period of 4 hours of meetings per day. I would just draw since nobody could see I wasn't paying attention. Def not work sanctioned, and I regret nothing.
