Owner’s Head of AI Developer Experience, Max Schwenk, writes about tsrs: a Rust port of TypeScript’s typechecker that cut our monorepo’s typecheck from 80 seconds to 7.

Cloudflare and VoidZero are taking over tsrs as part of Oxc, in close collaboration with the TypeScript team.

tsrs allows more us to run more agents working in parallel on our laptops and in our cloud sandboxes.

For Owner, these typecheck and lint changes are projected to save hundreds of thousands of dollars a year.
