@tastychicken07 Granted, that is something that reflects badly on Signora but she was trying to get ahead of the traveler’s meddling (also, th shogun was never really on good terms since the puppet is unfeeling but it’s not clear if the fatui knew that)
@tastychicken07 The aid thing is a bit of an extrapolation based on previous plans (mainly ursa the drake where they intentionally caused havoc so they could pretend to be heroes to gain influence) and why else would they destabilise inazuma cause it’s not like it weakens the shogun personally
@tastychicken07 Signora is a fatui harbinger which is basically a general of the fatui army. The person requesting the duel is working with the resistance army. Signora declining would imply she doesn’t feel confident in her ability to win which reflects badly on the fatui as a military org
@YaidevSierran The civil war and the delusion factory are both things the fatui set up specifically so they could manufacture a way to enter the shogun’s good graces
@YaidevSierran I don’t believe Signora knew that however. It was scara that got the gnosis and in one of the inazuma events, Childe told us that scara just immediately ran off with it so it’s questionable if signora even knew she wouldn’t have been able to get the gnosis
@GachaSnipe@violencexroses@rinbedo That’s a fair way of interpreting it. Signora also does agree to the duel after. I’m just tired of people acting like the traveler had nothing to do with it because I feel it is one of their smartest moments in the story. Also, I like analysing the political aspects of the fatui
@tastychicken07 Also, none of this is to say traveler is wrong for this. Signora was a bad person and needed to be stopped. It’s just that pretending the traveler didn’t have a role in signora’s death is just ignoring a big part of inazuma’s story
@tastychicken07 As for the good terms, the plan was to cause a crisis, give aid, and increase their influence in inazuma like how they manufactured the ursa the drake situation in mondstadt to gain influence there
@tastychicken07@violencexroses@rinbedo The fatui are a political entity first and foremost and the harbingers are diplomats. Every public action they do is subject to political scrutiny. Signora’s plan relied heavily on being on good terms with the shogun so she had to avoid any action that could potentially hurt that
@tastychicken07@violencexroses@rinbedo Ok it’s not so much siding with traveler as siding against signora. If she were to have declined the duel, she would’ve lost favor with the raiden puppet which benefits the traveler and massively hurts signora’s plan
@violencexroses@rinbedo Not to say signora didn’t deserve it however. She let her own ego get ahead of her and started getting too brash but saying the traveler isn’t one of the reasons signora died is just completely ignoring a big part of inazuma’s story
@violencexroses@rinbedo The traveler was the one who proposed the duel knowing signora can’t turn it down. The raiden puppet says proceed before signora even gets a word in and even if she could decline, signora had to fight because refusing would mean the raiden sides with the traveler
@OTenpennyTakes@maxontwt11@bigdongzhongtwt I know escof can be used in non-skirk teams but most of them are either not great teams that she makes useable (ayaka) or she’s just a side grade/small upgrade (mavuika and neuv)
