Oxnard Fire and P.D. are on scene of a major structure fire in the area of Oxnard Blvd and Cooper Rd.

Oxnard Boulevard is closed in both directions from Cooper Rs to Ave, and is expected to remain closed to traffic into the afternoon.

This is an important message from The City of Oxnard. Many of the streets and intersections are heavily impacted by flooding. Please stay off the city streets for the next several hours until the water recedes. Standing water can cause vehicles to stall and may become trapped.

Please stay off the roadways for the next several hours. Significant flooding issues across Oxnard and port hueneme. Vehicles are getting stuck in the roadways

Approximately 2-3 gallons of spilled pool chlorine has been reported in the Patterson Rd. and Wooley Rd. area. Emergency crews are on scene for mitigation & clean up. Expected road closures may last until 11 a.m. Area should be avoided due to traffic congestion. #oxnard

Waves are expected to be around 2' high.
Situation being monitored closely, as this coincides with a king tide which may possibly cause some complications or damage to harbor pilings etc.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT (Attention beach and harbor areas)
A tsunami advisory has been issued for the west coast after an undersea earthquake near Tonga. THERE IS NO NEED FOR EVACUATIONS AT THIS POINT. It is expected to arrive in our area around 7:45am.

Update to the Victoria Inc - smoke impacting Victoria bridge over Santa Clara river. CHP is closing southbound Victoria. Please avoid the area

Victoria Inc - there is currently a fire burning in the Santa Clara river bottom. It’s is estimated at approximately 3acres, moving slowly to the east. There is no threat to structures but the fire is producing a lot of smoke.

LIFESAVING ENCOUNTER: A group of first responders assigned to #DixieFire staying at a Redding Hotel heard an anguished mother’s screams. They jumped into action, preventing a tragedy with quick-thinking actions. They're grateful they were in the right place at the right time.
