I like opposites - if I canβt have picturesque then messily suburban wins for me π Happy #PostboxSaturday brought to you from West Minister near Sheerness. Remaining stoic under the overbearing gaze of the rubbish cages & protecting its little blue bin chum π@letterappsoc
@RoyalMailHelp Hi - could you tell me when postbox no. OX3 740 on The Roundway is due to be repaired & back in use pls? RM put a notice on it back in February that the lock was broken & it was temporarily out of use. Nothing has been done since!
Good morning fellow #PostboxSaturday people! Here is a rather officious looking postbox in Weston-on-the-Green, Oxfordshire. Near to the wonderful antiques centre @oldflighthouse - they also do amazing lunches!! @letterappsoc
Screeched to a halt at the side of the road in Burchetts Green, near Maidenhead, to snap this box with its teddy bears picnic topper. Plus bonus red phone box, unsuccessfully hiding behind a telegraph poleβ¦π Happy #PostboxSaturday! @letterappsoc
Happy sunny #PostboxSaturday! Hereβs a box from Wardens Bay, Isle of Sheppey, Kent. I was thrilled to see someone had stuck some googly eyes on it π π It definitely has personality & seemed shocked Iβd taken its photo π@letterappsoc
Good sunny morning to all - especially those who enjoy #PostboxSaturday !
Hereβs a wall box from Iffley Turn in Oxford, snapped in the week. @letterappsoc
Returning water companies to public ownership would apparently save Β£3 bn a year. Which seems to debunk the Govt peddled myth that it would be too expensiveβ¦.
What IS too expensive is our ever-rising water bills, and the cost of paying out water company shareholders. Enough!
EXPOSED: FAKE water nationalisation price tag would still save Β£3 billion a year.
@UniofGreenwich research shows how taking back control of our water delivers a better deal for the public.

For #postboxsaturday a pic that sums up our beloved Royal Mail right now? This postbox in Risinghurst, Oxford, has been out of action since Feb 13th. Nearly 2 months on, no sign of it being fixed. Managed neglect? π Do check link in tweet below & have your say @letterappsoc
When Royal Mail was sold off we were told that this was to protect letter deliveries. Ofcom is now consulting on cutting letter deliveries from 6 to 3 days a week. Will they admit privatisation has failed? Take 1-min to send Ofcom this message. @We_OwnIt https://t.co/BuP3kbXLRl
@letterappsoc@RoyalMail@Ofcom@We_OwnIt We have a postal service that apparently objects to delivering letters. They are using the age old tactic of running the business into the ground; raising prices, providing a worse service and driving people to using it less; then saying lack of demand makes it unprofitable.

A sunny, blue sky #PostboxSaturday brought to you from Wallingford, Oxfordshire. That familiar combo of postbox, phonebox & litter bins, but with the added bonus of a riverside pub in the background π Have a good weekend, all! @letterappsoc
@todbooklady Itβs a shame Royal Mail didnβt also paint it red. The Victorians wouldβve done, Iβm sure! Theyβd have given it frills and flounces too, I imagine! We live in an austere ageβ¦.but hey, look us lot, on this hashtag. We find our own fun! ππ
