@bustanutkeaton “Basically no arts or entertainment scene” is absurd. SF has symphony, opera, ballet, SFJAZZ, major theater, SFMOMA, de Young, Legion of Honor, galleries, comedy, live music & vibrant neighborhood scenes. You can call nightlife fragmented; you can’t credibly say SF has no culture
@RoKhanna@mcuban David Sacks, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, Peter Thiel, Jan Koum. Who else are u trying to push out of the state? Who’s going to replace their tax revenue?
From individuals to industry, does it not make sense to make CA business & tax friendly, Ro?
@RoKhanna@mcuban Instead of taxing the F outta ppl who create & innovate in CA, & potentially driving them to friendlier states, why not inspire more ppl to achieve the same? Let’s cut govt. waste, demand accountability & reward productivity instead. This is supposed to be a capitalist country.

SF: The Way It Was is a beautiful reminder of the ppl, architecture, neighborhoods & civic spirit that shaped one of the world’s most iconic cities. Worth watching & sharing. @DanielLurie@garrytan

This is the Hondo Cartel in full effect. They rule this area dressed in all black like there NINJAS 🥷 they believe they can operate here with impunity.
@VigilantFox State taxes tax definitely suck, and the other problem is the federal tax paid by the dispensary owner. With the exception of cost of goods sold, they can’t deduct anything. They’re paying income tax on all other expenses (rent, employees, you name it).
@DannySauter@SFUrbanForester We’re still awaiting replacement trees on Hyde around Filbert, Danny. Your office indicated that would be taken care of. That was months ago.
@Twolfrecovery Yup. I’ve been here for less than six years and am already looking at exit options because of crap like that. Stop the insanity, @CAgovernor, @RoKhanna, et al
@friedberg@RoKhanna@sama Perhaps it’s time to impose a public servant tax equal to whatever tax these folks dream up. It should apply to their pensions as well. Additional taxes should be levied on the remarkable stock gains that seem to accompany public office, effective from their first day in office.
