JUST IN: A football bet between Arsenal and City fans has turned into support for young chess talent.

After placing a $100 wager with @dondekojo, @Ssaasquatch agreed to direct the money toward something bigger than football banter.

The result: a full €180 registration sponsorship for Sambo Joseph of @BlazingKings_GC to participate in the World Amateur Chess Championships this August.

Sambo is currently rated above 2000 FIDE and ranked No. 73 in Nigeria.

From football rivalry to supporting chess talent. Great gesture by everyone involved.
