❄️ SNOWFALL REPORT: Week of 1/18 – 1/25 ❄️
This is a another BIG one. A HIGH IMPACT Winter Storm could develop late this upcoming week, with the potential to bring Heavy Snow and Ice to parts of the country.

🌨️ The heaviest Snow will likely fall on the north side of this storm Friday - Sunday, wherever it ultimately tracks. As we move through the week, I would not be surprised to see Winter Storm Watches and Warnings issued as it becomes more clear where this storm will setup.

❄️When it comes to exact locations and Snow totals, we are still WAY too far out to pin that down. That said, the most likely SNOW ZONE appears to be somewhere within the Tennessee and Ohio Valleys, though this will almost certainly shift as we get closer.

❄️Elsewhere, the Midwest will see a few rounds of light to moderate Snow Monday through Wednesday as a series of Alberta Clippers pass through. These should be minor systems, generally producing a few inches.

❄️ Boston, NYC, and parts of the Northeast will start the week with a healthy dose of Snow, with 4-5 inches possible by Monday morning.

🏔️ Out West, the Rocky Mountains from Colorado through Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho should pick up significant Mountain Snow, with over a foot possible in higher elevations.

🏔️The Cascades in Washington and Oregon will also see Snowfall, with a few feet possible in favored areas.

❄️The MAIN THING to remember this week: whoever gets hit by the late week Winter Storm could get A LOT of Snow, but there will also be plenty of busts nearby. That’s the nature of these storms.

👀 I’ll be watching this late week storm LIKE A HAWK 🦅and will post updated maps as details become clearer.

Avatar: Fire and Ash is James Cameron at his most unhinged. This is a massive, bizarre, and beautiful epic that I’m still collecting myself from. I have so many thoughts. Cameron asks A LOT from the audience on this one, and I’m curious how most will react. I was mostly very on board with this wild journey.

Continuing to focus on the Sully family leads to a lot of great moments, particularly the bits between Jake and Neytiri as their relationship struggles with their loss and the state of their world. Neytiri being back in the focus of this film was great. I loved everything with the Ash People and honestly wish we focused more on them and less on the humans.

Every moment between Quaritch and Varang is filled with tension and seduction, and I was here for it. Cameron still doesn’t know how teenagers talk at all, and I was starting to lose it if I had to hear any of them say “bro” one more time. I think one of the film’s biggest weak spots is when it tries to just repeat what we’ve seen in the last two films, which you see a lot unfortunately in that final hour.

I never loved the Tulkun stuff in the last film, and that’s back here in full force (including a whale trial), but it did have more payoff here. Also, depending on if we get an Avatar 4, I felt the ending was really abrupt and some of the plot threads could’ve gotten more closure.

Worthington and Saldana are still in top form, but it’s Oona Chaplin and Stephen Lang that kinda stole the show for me here. And what more can be said about the visuals of Pandora? The world and characters are visually above anything else in cinema today, and I just love every second I get to soak in every frame.

The Way of Water is still my favorite. Fire and Ash can be frustrating in some regards, but I had a great time with this film and will always appreciate being swept up in James Cameron’s insane mind. There’s nothing else like Avatar, and I will always be back
