That's a wrap on MOUSE: PI For Hire! 🐭
That was a fun and unique experience lol. Felt like a depraved old school Mickey Mouse version of DOOM in a good way. I adored the cartoon art style so much. The hand-drawn aesthetic of all the guns, characters and effects have wonderful charm to them, and watching cartoon mice get their heads blown off or turn into burning cinders was...oddly satisfying?
Level design was surprisingly well done with lots of hidden areas, verticality and playspaces made to incorporate a variety of player actions like double jumping, dashing, swinging on hooks and taking advantage of exploding barrels (fire, ice, poison).
Enemy variety is fairly standard at first with your normal enemy mice with melee weapons/guns, brutes, flying dudes, snipers, etc, though I was just a little disappointed that the game didn't expand on that after the first few hours. The bosses were all fun and engaging though with their own unique mechanics.
The audio/music was also well done and was a huge part of immersing me in a 1930's-esque noir adventure. Voice acting was also excellent all around, especially Troy Baker as Jack Pepper.
I do think the game was just a little long in the tooth overall. I enjoyed the shooting, the story, and yes all the CHEESE. But some levels felt a little more filler than others and probably could have been trimmed down.
Image quality was also surprisingly just a little poor, at least on PS5? (I was playing on a PS5 Pro). There were a decent amount of jaggies across the environments, at least on performance mode, which I wouldn't expect. The game doesn't seem super demanding.
But still, I had an awesome time overall and it lived up to the years-long wait. Definitely keeping an eye on what Fumi Games does next!

BREAKING: Anthony Albanese attacks Peta Credlin — and gets a FIERY response he won’t forget
Anthony Albanese thought he could score cheap political points by calling Peta Credlin an “insult to Australian values” because the outspoken journalist is fiercely conservative and believes that government should prioritize everyday families over woke agendas. Unfortunately for "Each-Way Albo," he picked the wrong person. Speaking directly to her Sky News audience, Peta Credlin didn’t just clap back — she delivered a fierce political reckoning.
“The Prime Minister of Australia just said that I insult Australian values,” Peta Credlin began. “You want to know what insults Australian values? Crushing working families with a cost-of-living crisis while breaking promises on tax cuts.”
And that was only just the start.
“You know what insults Australian values?” she continued. “Spending hundreds of millions on a divisive Voice referendum while ignoring the very real crime crises in our regional communities.”
Then she went even further — taking aim at energy policies, union corruption, and hypocrisy.
“You know what insults our values? Destroying our reliable energy grid and sending our manufacturing industry off to die in the name of a reckless net-zero agenda… Turning a blind eye to union thuggery and dragging their feet on holding the CFMEU bosses accountable.”
This wasn’t just another evening broadcast. This was a full-on political indictment. Peta Credlin — who has been criticized by the Canberra bubble for speaking hard truths and challenging mainstream narratives — flipped the script entirely. Instead of backing down, she grounded her message in the very "fair dinkum" values Albanese tried to weaponize.
“I am not perfect,” she said. “But I know what real leadership and fundamental fairness look like in this country.”
And then came the line that hit hardest:
“Labor tells us they govern for the working class… Can we imagine a strong nation with no manufacturing? Can we imagine a prosperous society where families can't afford to turn on their heaters? Can we imagine a united country divided by race? Then why do we tolerate these things under this government?”
That’s how you respond. Not with cheap shots. Not with spin. But with clarity — and conviction. Albanese tried to smear her. Instead, Peta Credlin delivered words that are now echoing far beyond Canberra.
MOUSE: P.I. For Hire is #2 on the Switch 2 eShop (US) only behind Pokemon Pokopia.
I haven't really been following this game, but clearly it's very popular!
