The MUSC Emerging Scholars Travel Award supports conference travel for students, research fellows & postdocs, like Kubra Calisir Unsal, pictured at the @AACR Special Conference in Cancer Research in Boston, MA.
If you are interested in cancer immunology or bioinformatics, see our lab page for two open Postdoctoral Fellow positions.
We also have an open position for a Research Specialist.

Happy to see that our paper on new lysyl oxidase inhibitors in overcoming chemoresistance in TNBC is out today! I thank my lab and our collaborators both at MUSC and USC.
Presenting three posters at AACR Annual Meeting 2024!
Ozge presented her latest publication: Targeting PDE4D reinstates toxic PARP trapping via cAMP-ROS-DNA damage axis and restores the efficacy of standard of care in treatment-refractory ER+ breast cancer.
Our new paper on overcoming resistance to the iconic antibody-drug conjugate, T-DM1 in HER2+ breast cancer has been published in Cancer Research!

Now Dr. Ozge Saatci!
We are thrilled to share the news that Ozge has successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis. Her PhD is distinguished by a noteworthy contribution of high-impact papers. We have every confidence that she will continue to achieve even more in her future endeavors!
From MUSC - USC Drug Discovery and Development Retreat.
We had the opportunity to engage with numerous presentations on translational cancer research, including Dr. Sahin’s talk. Ozge, Metin, and Emre presented their poster and Ozge received the Best Poster Presentation Award!
Exciting news from our laboratory!
Our postdoctoral researcher, Metin, has been awarded the prestigious Hollings Postdoctoral Fellowship —a well-deserved recognition of his outstanding work.
On November 4th, we embarked on a remarkable journey, cycling 10 miles to raise awareness for cancer in LOWVELO. The ride exemplified the profound impact that collective action can have in spreading awareness and advancing cancer research and support.
