Beheading was practised against children as well; Israel's National Centre of Forensic Medicine presented, shortly after the attack, disturbing evidence of a 12-year-old girl who was shot in the head and then decapitated.

This bloody jihadist lust came from the very top of the chain of command. Harel cites two other operational orders for the October 7 attack.

One, published in 2025 by Al Jazeera, was drafted by Mohammed Deif, the longtime commander of Hamas's military wing and one of the principal architects of the attack.

🚨DISGUSTING: This is Judge Tracey Lloyd-Clarke, Recorder of Cardiff. She sentenced ex-soldier Daffron Williams — a 41-year-old veteran who served in Iraq and Afghanistan and suffers from PTSD — to two years in prison (half to be served in custody) for Facebook posts made in the tense days after the Southport child murders.

His posts referenced “civil war is here” and included anti-Islamic imagery. She acknowledged his military service, good character references, and mental health struggles… but still sent him to prison for words on the internet.

The same judge has also jailed others for social media posts in the post-riot crackdown, including 24-year-old David Morgan who received 20 months for tweets involving Nazi imagery and racist content.

Yet when Rees Newman — convicted of the historic rape of a girl under 14 — appeared before her for breaching his sex offender requirements, she suspended his two-month jail term, explicitly citing prison overcrowding.

There is now footage of her campaign coordinator claiming mosques supported her campaign “under cover” during the Gorton & Denton by-election.

If that amounted to unlawful political activity by registered charities, this cannot simply be brushed aside.

Cheating or improper interference during a by-election is a direct threat to our democracy, no matter how big or small.

We cannot allow the rot to set in.

The British Government is preparing an apparatus of internet censorship without parallel in the modern era.

At the UN, Andy Burnham announced the creation of a National Centre for Information Defence — Labour’s Ministry of Truth.

The Prime Minister says the centre will protect us from hostile foreign powers such as Russia, which he accused of spreading lies and disinformation about Britain, amplifying “far-right narratives” and interfering in our democracy.

But the real purpose is to suppress dissent and silence those who criticise the Government or express views about the state of the country that run counter to Labour’s prevailing progressive orthodoxy.

FSU Director of Policy and Research David Rose has written a new briefing examining the threadbare research the Government has used to justify its plans. The Government is clutching at straws — and, ironically, already spreading misinformation about the threat of misinformation.

It has ignored a wealth of evidence from leading academics to push ahead with its new censorship regime.

Burnham’s Government is putting Britain in the same league as some of the world’s most authoritarian powers.

A 73-year-old woman went for a walk in Concord Park, Sheffield, at 7.30 in the morning. Ali Askre, 25, of Torksey Road West, Shiregreen, was waiting in a balaclava and gloves.

He told police he had never had sex, so he would take the first woman he saw. He knocked her down and punched her face in until her cheekbone and nose were fractured, then tried to rape her. She fought him off. She said: “I’m 73. What if this was your mum or your nan?”

A loved one later saw her and thought she was dead.

This was not his first go. Months earlier he sexually assaulted the paramedics called out to help him, plus assaults and racially aggravated harassment.

The court gave him a community sentence. He was still on it when he went to the park.

Judge Jeremy Richardson KC called it grotesque, planned, and worse than the violence already in rape. Extended sentence: 12 years in custody, eight on licence. He admitted it.

The court heard his problems trace back to a difficult start in Afghanistan.

Pensioners are fair game now. Walk to the shops at breakfast and a man already convicted of sexually assaulting the people sent to help him is in the bushes in a balaclava. She survived because she fought. That is the protection on offer.

The whole process behind the drafting of the Islamophobia definition — repackaged as “anti-Muslim hostility” — absolutely stinks.

The Free Speech Union has been warning about this from the start. This was never about tackling genuine incidents of anti-Muslim hostility: existing laws already do that. It was about shamelessly courting the Muslim vote.

We exposed the troubling links between all five members of the Working Group tasked with drafting the definition and Islamist extremist organisations.

We warned that the definition would have a chilling effect on free speech. It has since been weaponised against people who have voiced legitimate criticism of Islam, its history and its practices.

Then it emerged that the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government had deleted all responses to the consultation that informed the final definition.

The Free Speech Union threatened the department with a judicial review unless it revealed who had been allowed to contribute to the consultation. After a considerable delay, and having said that the responses had been deleted, the department has now admitted that they were not.

There is clearly a cover-up at the heart of Government.

🚨 The Government has imposed a de facto Islamic blasphemy law by the back door — and almost certainly allowed Islamist extremists to influence the process.

At the start of the year, the Free Speech Union revealed that all five members of the Government’s working group had troubling links to Islamist organisations, including the Muslim Council of Britain and MEND. Successive governments have had a policy of non-engagement with both since 2009, citing concerns about their views.

A Freedom of Information request by Shadow Justice Secretary @NJ_Timothy revealed that the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) had said it deleted all responses to the Working Group’s consultation, which informed the drafting of the definition. That appeared to conflict with the Government’s own data policy, which requires key information of historical importance to be retained for 20 years.

The Free Speech Union sent MHCLG a pre-action protocol letter, threatening judicial review unless the department disclosed who had been given the opportunity to influence the definition.

After considerable delay, MHCLG has written back to @SpeechUnion and admitted that they had located ‘at least one available copy of the dataset’.

This is a shocking revelation — and raises serious questions about the handling of the process.

Why did officials originally claim that the data had been deleted?

If it has been deleted, and subsequently “recovered”, why did this happen, and why did they attempt to hide behind data protection legislation?

Did the Government allow extremists to influence the drafting of a definition that has had a chilling effect on free speech — and then mislead the public about what happened to the consultation responses?

The public deserves to know the truth.
