The release of 123 political prisoners from Belarus, including Václav Havel Prize winners Ales Bialiatski and Maria Kalesnikava, is a moment of relief, dignity and hope. They should never have been imprisoned.

At the meeting of the Committee on Political Affairs of the Council of Europe, I called on parliamentarians to increase the medical evacuations of Palestinian wounded from Gaza to European countries, giving priority to children. We must do everything in our power to save lives.
