Iran has cut off LPG exports to Pakistan following Islamabad’s closure of the border with Iran under US pressure.

Iran supplies approximately 50% of Pakistan’s total LPG imports.

According to Reuters, the price of a 12 kg LPG cylinder has surged from 4,500 Pakistani rupees ($16) to 7,000 rupees ($25) within days, with prices potentially rising further.

"دخلت أفغانستان بطريقة غير شرعية لتغطية الأحداث الأخيرة والصراع الدائر مع أمريكا، فدخلت السجن في أفغانستان.
عشت وتربيت في بريطانيا، وكانت ثقافتنا في الأكل تعتمد على قطع لحمة صغيرة في الطبق، ولكني صدمت في السجن بكرم الأفغان؛ إذ كانوا يدخلون لي نصف دجاجة مع كمية كبيرة من الرز والسلطات وأطباق أخرى رائعة. كنت أتساءل: هل هؤلاء الناس كرماء زيادة عن اللزوم، أم أن هذه هي ثقافتهم، خصوصاً وأن البلد فقير جداً؟
ولم يقتصر الكرم على الأكل فحسب، بل شمل الأخلاق أيضاً؛ فعندما كنت نائمة، كانوا يطرقون الباب ولا يدخلون أبداً احتراماً لخصوصيتي.
وبسبب ضغوط الدبلوماسيين البريطانيين، تمكنت من الخروج من السجن وعدت إلى بريطانيا. قضيت أربعة أيام في بيتي، وبدأت أستعيد ذكريات السجن؛ تذكرت المسلم الأفغاني وهو يقدم لي الطعام بكل كرم، وتذكرت ذوقهم وحياءهم معي وأنا دخلت بلدهم غريبة ومن ورائهم. قلت لنفسي: لقد عاملني هؤلاء الناس بأحسن معاملة، لذا لا بد أن أبحث في دينهم.
ولما بدأت أقرأ في الإسلام كصحفية محايدة، أدركت أن المسلمين يملكون كنوزاً حقيقية، وفهمت حينها طبيعة الصراع بين المسلمين وغيرهم، وتحديداً كيف يركزون على قضايا المرأة ويزعمون أنها مضطهدة ومجبرة على ارتداء الحجاب.
لكن عندما نظرت إلى مجتمعي الغربي، صدمت بالحقيقة المرة؛ على سبيل المثال، ابنتي على علاقة بشخص منذ سبع سنوات ولم يتزوجا حتى الآن، ولو اعترضت كأم، لاتصلت ابنتي بالشرطة. وعندما يسألها الشرطي عن عمرها وتجيب بأنها في الثامنة عشرة، سيخبرني بأنه ليس لي حق الاعتراض لأنها بالغة قانونياً، وقد أجد نفسي في السجن لمجرد اعتراضي على القانون.
فحسب المادة الأولى من قانون إصلاح قانون الأسرة البريطاني لسنة 1969، بمجرد بلوغ الفتاة أو الشاب سن الثامنة عشرة، يصبح بالغاً قانونياً وتنهي مسؤولية الوالدين عنه نهائياً.
أما في الإسلام العظيم، فالوضع مختلف تماماً؛ فقد كرم الإسلام المرأة وجعل الجنة تحت أقدام الأمهات، والبنت المسلمة المتربية على دينها وعقيدتها لا تستطيع أن تقول لأمها أُفّاً ولا أن ترفض لها طلباً أو تعصي لها أمراً، بل تتعامل معها بكل حب وبر واحترام، لأن الله أمر ببر الوالدين وطاعتهما. ووجدت أن الحجاب عزة وكرامة، وأن الإسلام يصون المرأة ويجعلها ملكة مكرمة لها كل الحقوق، لتحافظ على نفسها لزوج يحميها ويصونها في الحلال، لا لصاحب يستغلها لسنوات ثم يرميها.
وعندما قرأت القرآن العظيم، اهتزرت من قوة معانيه؛ وجدت رب العالمين يتحدى الإنس والجن أن يأتوا بمثله أو بسورة من مثله، وهو تحدٍ قائم منذ أكثر من أربعة عشر قرناً ولم يستطع أحد كسره. عرفت حينها أن الإسلام هو أجمل شيء في الوجود.
لم ترددد لحظة واحدة، فنطقت الشهادتين ودخلت الإسلام العظيم، ووجدت فيه حريتي وحياتي. ولم أخف من أحد، بل وقفت بكل فخر وقوة أمام نقابة الصحفيين البريطانيين، وأمام الكاميرات وذهول الحاضرين، أعلنتها واضحة صريحة وقلت لهم: المسلمون هم أفضل الناس على وجه الأرض".

🚨🇵🇰 Imran Khan's family says Pakistani authorities are using a LEGAL maze to keep his sisters behind bars.

And the statement raises allegations that go far beyond ordinary public-order detention...

Aleema and Uzma Khan were acquitted on Feb 25 in cases later cited to justify their detention, while they had bail in other cases. They say Noreen Niazi had no criminal case registered against her.

After the initial 30-day detention period expired, the women were not released despite no fresh MPO detention order being issued.

Most seriously, the family says Aleema now faces terrorism proceedings and alleges another case is awaiting announcement, part of what it describes as an effort to keep her jailed.

Rubina accuses authorities of using terrorism charges and repeated procedural delays to prevent their release, while questioning why the courts have not brought the detentions to an end.

🇵🇰 IMRAN KHAN'S SISTERS have spent 30 DAYS IN DETENTION.

Their family still doesn't know when they're coming home.

@KhanShershah says his aunts, Dr. Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi, have now reached the end of their 30-day detention under Pakistan's Maintenance of Public Order law.

He says the family has received no new detention order, no explanation for their continued imprisonment, and neither woman has been allowed to see her family or lawyers.

I find this absolutely disgraceful.

These are two women whose brother happens to be Imran Khan. If the authorities have lawful grounds to keep them imprisoned, produce the order and let their lawyers challenge it.

Otherwise, RELEASE THEM!

A government that cannot tolerate the political loyalty of someone's sisters has a serious problem explaining what it thinks justice means.

And after an entire month, their family deserves something considerably better than silence.
