The questionable agreements & feel-good programs being considered as part of the governor’s energy plan are nothing but a band-aid for a broken bone. Until he abandons RGGI, it is difficult to take seriously any statement claiming he wants to ease the power deficit PA is facing.

Today the #PASenate approved legislation I introduced to repeal the #RGGI electricity tax enacted through executive order by the Wolf Administration in 2019. This tax would hurt consumers and kill jobs, with no significant environmental benefit.

The #RGGI Carbon Tax is an #Electricity Tax, never approved by our citizens' elected representatives. It would increase electric bills 30%, kill jobs and not reduce CO2 in PA. That’s why we’ve stood against it from day one.
