Prediction on how FSD monopoly will be broken:
1) A Chinese OEM will come a few years after Tesla goes unsupervised.
2) Next year or latest in two years, Tesla will announce an FSD licensing deal with a major OEM. Within the following months, more will follow.
3) It takes 3 years to go to SOP after a program starts. The OEMs licensing FSD will also have the Tesla HW and will start collecting data. It means that within 4-5 years, other OEMs will also have a huge amount of data like Tesla does today.
4) At this point, we are at least 5 years after FSD went unsupervised. Not only Tesla, but all major OEMs possess all the necessary data to train FSD. The SoC necessary to run a net like FSD has become cheaper and more common, and the framework to train them is also a commodity. Copies of FSD start to appear on non-Tesla HW.
5) 10 years from now, copies of FSD exist on NVidia HW, Qualcomm, or other chips. It is now a commodity.

But by that time, Tesla has already invaded the world with one billion bots and FSD has become a small portion of its income...

NEWS: Tesla has secured four new @Tesla Megapack orders worth a combined $450 million in Georgia, United States.

Georgia Power secured a battery and equipment supply agreement (BESA) with @Tesla for a 500MW/2,000MWh BESS portfolio made up of four projects of varying sizes under development by the investor-owned utility (IOU).
