Recorded wildlife crime offences increased by 15% between 22/23 and 23/24 from 220 to 254 offences, before falling by 27% between 23/24 and 24/25 to 186 offences.

Great news regarding the ban on snaring in Scotland which came into force yesterday!

A ban on the use of snares in Scotland comes into force from today.

The ban was introduced through the Wildlife Management and Muirburn (Scotland) Act 2024 and aims to improve animal welfare and promote humane wildlife management.
