Kevin demonstrates how to properly lock your vehicles so they don't get broken into. Call it a Pittsboro Pro-Tip, Emu Enlightenment, or just sound advice. Don't give criminals the opportunity to victimize you!

After minutes of careful study, I have determined that Kevin is useless at making weather predictions. Punxsutawney Phil, however, said that we're going to have an early Spring. Check out @NWS to see what they said about Phil! -- OD

@RickWebb@ChathamNR Yes, we have that capability. Phone calls are recommended due to the complexity of emergency response and the quantity of questions that need to be answered, but texting is an option.
Verizon services down in our area right now. If you need to call 911 and cannot get thru, you can text 911 here. If you are at a location with a WiFi network available, you can also use WiFi calling and texting.
We don't know when it'll be back up as none of us work for Verizon.
@six8jay @sarahanndipity_ There IS some service but the service is spotty and calls may drop. Even in natural disasters, texts are more reliable than phone calls. Many people leave WiFi on, so they'll get updates as they hit hotspots. Also, there are other providers, so we can still reach most people.
